My husband and I stayed at The Hide for three nights in a Classic Double Room. We arrived sometime after 11pm and the guy on the front desk couldn't have been more welcoming, despite the late hour. Our room was compact but very comfortable, and nicely decorated. Comfy bed, plenty of storage space, small fridge with free soft drinks, small safe and a decent-sized TV. The bathroom was very neatly turned out, with plenty of towels and lovely L'Occitaine toiletries. The shower was a little temperamental and leaky but still fine, with plenty of hot water.
The breakfast was included in the price and was good - simple but ample, with cereals, juices, breads and pastries, meats and cheeses, etc. The coffee wasn't great, but it did the job. The breakfast room was, like the rest of the hotel, very comfortable and attractive.
A minor drawback was the sound of traffic from the main road outside (we were on the ground floor at the front of the hotel), but it didn't disturb us hugely. We didn't go there for a room with a view, and the area itself seemed okay - the convenience store next to the Underground station proved useful for snacks (there were no restaurants open late when we arrived, and we were hungry!). I wouldn't recommend staying here if you're a traveller who wants to be in the centre of the action, but it's perfect for those who don't want to spend a fortune on a place in Central London, but still want easy access - the nearest Tube stop is Hendon Central on the Northern Line, two minutes' walk from the hotel.
All in all, a good experience in a smart little hotel!
