Based in South Kensington, you can gain entry via the tunnel to the museums. It offers activity packs for children (which take about an hour to complete). They go around the museum hunting for clues and it's a lovely way to learn. Very visual, lots on display. We were there for about 3 hours, did 2 activity packs and went with our 2 and 6 yo to the childrens activity room, where they made a Winne-The-Pooh poster and had their lunch in the lunch room. There are a few cafes on site - one outside in the courtyard. It comprises of a few floors - I think 5 in total. We would go again in a heartbeat.

I try to visit whenever in London. There is so.much to see on each floor including jewellery, clothes from different ages, sculptures etc etc. It's a beautiful building with many floors and easy to get around. There is a fabulous shop selling all sorts from bags to jewellery to plates cards etc. Definitely recommend a visit. Opposite us the Science museum and 6 mins walk is the National History museum all free!

I took my nephews (4 and 6 years old) to see the Winnie the Pooh exhibition. The V&A offered a tour of the exhibition especially for young kids and kids with special needs, prior to opening hours. This meant I was able to view the exhibition with two small kids, in a peaceful setting. There was a chill out area with cushions, books etc.
The staff was amazing; friendly, engaging and made us feel very welcome. I love that they interact directly with the children.

The exhibition itself was great. Very interactive, great set up. The boys loved it and 2,5 hours past easily while they were constantly entertained. The addition of a slip and slide, drawing table and the bridge with a virtual river were a big hit with the boys.

After we finished in the Pooh exhibition, we were entertained by a treasure hunt provided by the V&A, throughout the museum. Great fun!

Highly recommend a visit with young kids to this amazing museum.

This free museum is breathtaking. The art and architecture were simply mesmerizing. The first floor rooms on religion gave so much insight into faith and how it is viewed from different perspectives around the world. The best part about the Victoria and Albert was there was no queue. You simply walk in and show your bag for inspection to the guards. Take advantage of the assorted recording devices they provide additional information about the pieces.

The V&A is always well worth a visit and we wanted to see the special exhibition on luxury liners.
The staff were friendly and helpful- we were pleased to get a discount.
The exhibition was great but it’s always fun just walking around the museum.
