“A "must"!”
Reviewed 6 May 2012

I visit the British museum almost every time I go to London. You can always find new additions and collections but what I like most is the ancient Greek floor with the collection of Parthenon which is unique. Another impressive collection is the Egyptian and Assyrian. You need a full day to visit all the museum. There is a very good restaurant with nice food or coffee and sweets, where you can have a break before you see the rest of the collections. In my opinion, you must go once to see it all and then choose some collections that you liked more to focus on your next visit.

“Excellent museum – you need all day here!”
Reviewed 6 May 2012

We spent a few hours in the British Museum, mainly to see the Egyptian display, Sutton Hoo Saxon gold and the Rosetta Stone but you really need all day. It is massive and awesome with so much to see – a real mst for anyone interested in world history and archaeology.

“Filled with antiquities from ancient Egypt, Greece, Rome, Assyria, etc.”
Reviewed 6 May 2012

Loved all the Egyptian artifacts, the sarcophagus/tombs do Egyptian royalty. We also enjoyed seeing the Rosetta Stone, which was instrumental in deciphering Egyptian hieroglyphics, as well as the very impressive Assyrian displays. The Grecian section was also extremely interesting and impressive. Wish we had had more time to take some of the other displays, but after 3 hours, our feet hurt, so we decided to save the rest for our next visit.
