The old Midland Railway Hotel is class 1 listed, but the newer St Pancras Hotel manages to incorporate stylist modern amenities into a wonderful old but clean building.
We stayed because the building is special and it has dedicated tours that last about 1 hour). But it also has a spa and a pool.
It was on the pricey side, but very, very convenient for Eurostar or trains to the midlands or east coast. Service was exemplary and there was an excellent restaurant called Gilbert Scott that was part of the same building.
As we stayed in the historic part, there was also temp membership of a club, with nibbles and drinks throughout the day.
It's a unique experience. Try it at least once!More
