Description: Set in bustling Knightsbridge, the award-winning Bar Boulud, London is a French-inspired bistro and wine bar at Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park, under the direction of renowned Lyon-born chef Daniel Boulud, following the successful format of Bar Boulud New York. The full à la carte bistro menu, served Monday through Saturday and Sunday evenings, is based on seasonal, rustic French cooking, and includes an array of charcuterie, house-made terrines, pâtés, hams, saucissons, boudins and more, specially prepared onsite. Also featured are Boulud's popular American transplants, the "Yankee" and "Piggie" burgers, as well as signature "BB" Burger unique to London. A £17 two or £19 three course 'Bouchon Menu', changing weekly, is available until 7pm, inclusive of a glass of house wine, as an excellent option for pre-theatre dining. New to 2015, Bar Boulud now serves Sunday brunch from 11am to 3.30pm at £39, with Children's Menu options also available. Bar Boulud features an impressive selection of wines available by the glass and by the bottle with a focus on the Rhône and Burgundy regions, as well as a wide selection of draught and bottled beers from noteworthy English and Continental breweries. Serving great wine by the glass from rare, large-format bottles is a Bar Boulud trademark.

The restaurant is very central which makes it an excellent meeting place. The receptionists are professional, helpful and kind. It’s bistro style, so no crisp white table cloths and dim lighting, but that is not the end of the world. The food is good, well presented and the service is ok too. The location will ensure this is a popular place.

Busy restaurant with good atmosphere for a Thursday. We had excellent service from the waiters - food was good but nothing outstanding. Price was ok as we had booked a star deal through bookatable.

Great food; a brilliant mix of French food with international flavors. Excellent service; the food has been served very quickly, the manager came to say hi and check if everything was alright and the chef offered us delicious chocolate sweets. We'll definitely go back again.

We went with friends from France and the style was typical busy and rather noisy. The service was excellent but the food was average and the prices in line with the location.
It will not turn into one of our favorites.

This is clearly a very popular restaurant as it was just bustling when we were there - but that meant two things: it was very loud and very hard to get the attention of the waiters. This is meant to be a French bistro, and certainly the charcuterie is outstanding and what I enjoyed the most, but the most popular dishes seem to be their American burgers?! Yes, we had those. Yes, they were good. But why do we need to visit a French bistro if the most enticing thing on the menu is an American burger? I have to admit the New York Bar Boulud menu online seems far more enticing generally. The 'ice cocktails' are quite fun, though not enormously practical. I couldn't help but think this wasn't much more than just a reasonable hotel restaurant that you would be glad to have downstairs as a jet lagged visitor staying in the hotel, but that there is really no reason to visit if you live here in London.
