We only had Saturday night at this smart, modern hotel. We paid £159 for the night and a further £14 each for breakfast.
The receptionist offered us an upgrade to an executive room for an extra £60: 'Includes breakfast and nibbles in the executive room'. We declined as pretty much dumping our bags and heading off to the West End.
Our room was immaculate and cool, floor to ceiling window with a view of Battersea park and was surprisingly quiet. I loved the white leather chaise longue! The bath was unusual - it had a sloping back taking up about a third of the length and afforded me a comfortable soak. I think someone taller would have to bend their knees but there's the option of a separate shower cubicle with rain drench shower head. Good quality towels, gowns and bedding and most important for me - a soft pillow!
Yes it is about 15 minutes from Sloane Square tube station but we always walk miles in London as there's always something to see. Had it still been raining when we emerged from the station at 11pm we would have grabbed one of the taxis lined up outside.
Breakfast was the usual choices - staff were exceptionally efficient and friendly. Yes overall I was impressed and I'm sure we will return.More
