“Very nice hotel”
Reviewed 23 April 2012

Very nice hotel, very clean and well looked after.
Staff were very nice and the room was faultless, the only thing in the room i wasn't keen with was the mac tv. The tv was a bit to small and we couldn't turn the sound up but that is just being very picky as there were no problems at all really.
The location is a little way out but you know this before booking so can't complain and there is a very good Sainsburys local on the same square.
Well done Bermonsdey square staff

Stayed here for two weeks on business. The staff are truly excellent - attentive, polite, and provided quality service - and the breakfast in the attached restaurant was fantastic. The rooms and common areas were kept quite immaculate and were perfectly serviceable. Also quite convenient, there were a number of pubs and restaurants within walking distance (on Bermondsey & Tower Bridge) and across the square was a small store with basic goods. A couple of challenges: 1) the closest train/tube/etc. stop is London Bridge which is critical as the hotel is not walking distance to central London (for a lot of business or for sight seeing); 2) there is no work out facility and the rooms are so small/oddly shaped, one couldn't even do a few push ups; and 3) the doors do bang quite loudly, so be sure to bring ear plugs!

We stayed here from Friday to Monday in the Lilly suit over the weekend we were getting married at the Swan at Shakespears globe theatre.
We had organised a group booking for a friends to stay on the Saturday night as well which was arrange in advance and was perfectly dealt with by booking organiser (gemma, who was a star), they were brilliant and so helpful.
The hotel is amazing and has the coolest vibe about it, without being at all pretentious. We arrived on a buzzy Friday night and it felt like we were away on holiday. Dinner in the restaurant was fabulous and the food and service was brilliant.
I cant say enough about the reception and bar staff, they were simply fantastic. The room was stunning and decorated beautifully with an amazing balcony space which felt very private and spacious. The only negative was that the hand shower was a little temperamental and the temperature was had to get right, but the bathroom products were really great as well. Our guests told us that there rooms were all really nice and laid out in a really stylish way and there bathrooms and showers were fantastic. They were also really accommodating in making sure that all our guests rooms were ready for when they checked in prior to the wedding, which was a tremendous helpful!!
all in all in all we had an amazing stay and will 100% be returning in the near future, this is one of the best hotels i have ever stayed in...i would say THE BEST in terms of value for money as well!

I have stayed at this hotel twice and really rate it as excellent value. Staff are very attentive, friendly and will gladly help with any requests you have. The only slight niggle I had is that it was my husband's birthday and we are newly weds. The hotel were aware of both and yet not as much as a free cup of tea. The hotel will not go from very good to excellent until they pay attention to that level of detail.
