Description: Dalila is a Lebanese restaurant and bar lounge in Queenstown Road, located just after the Chelsea Bridge and fashionable Lavender Hill. It combines a contemporary and elegant set up as well as one that is warm and inviting, reflecting exactly what the Lebanese cuisine is about. And with a wine list that encompasses the best of Lebanese wine as well as famous chateaux from around the world, what more could one ask for?Our menu reflects the tastes of Lebanon; it includes an extensive selection of hot and cold mezze, which are perfect for sharing, some mouth watering grills and main courses in addition to delicious Lebanese desserts.

Chose Dalila for a date night. Ordered 6 plates of tapas (small plates) and all were so delicious, especially the Moussaka and Hummus. between the 2 of us 6 was probably a bit too much but the wait staff happily offered takeaway containers for the unfinished. 4 plates would have been sufficient, wouldnt choose the calamari again as it tasted overly floured.
So food (bar the calamari) was amazing and wait staff were attentive and friendly.
I include the word 'potential' as the atmosphere could be a bit hit n miss. When we arrived to Dalila the restaurant was dead, we were the only couple inside for the first hour. If there are more people dining around you, it adds to the atmosphere. That being said, not entirely the restaurant's fault.

I didn't know what to expect of Dalila having no previous experience of Lebanese cooking but had high hopes of the wine, due to the reputation of the Bekaa Valley. Happily, both wine and food turned out to be a complete delight. Sadly a couple of mezze dishes were not available at the very quiet lunchtime we were there, but everything else was quickly prepared, attractively presented and nicely flavoured. We ordered a couple of mezze dishes each, one hot one cold, followed by a main course. The starters were around £5 to £6 and generous enough for all that wanted a taste of each to get some. I thought the lamb kebbeh and sambousek lamb were particularly good (as the spicy sausages and beef dishes were not available we had rather a lot of lamb) and the pumpkin kebbeh was also apparently very tasty. Three of us had yet more lamb, a short but generous roasted leg each, which was super-tender and well flavoured without being in any way noticeably 'Lebanese' in style. The salmon steak was also well received, as was the aubergine stew. We tried two red wines from the Bekaa Valley and while both were very good the one that stood out was Chateau MusarJeune which despite its name had ample body and character for the age of the apparently young vines. At under £30 really good value, at restaurant prices. The service was perfect, unsurprisingly as we were pretty much the only customers, and the décor is attractively stylish. We'll definitely be back.

Table booked for 7 on a Thursday and restaurant was empty when we arrived, and I felt a bit worried that I had picked the wrong place for a meal with family. Then the food arrived. It was exceptionally good, incredibly tasty. The starter of scallops and spinach was to die for, as was the variety of grilled meats with rice as the main. The service was spot on, and thankfully the restaurant filled up quite nicely fairly quickly. Very good portions and good value for such a high quality of food. Simply the best meal I have had for some considerable time. Well done to all concerned.
