Me and my husband stayed in october last year (2011) for our honeymoon for five nights. The hotel was amazing and we could not fault our stay. We stayed in room 505 which was very spacious and has a large balcony with lovely views of liverpool city and over to the big wheel at the dock. From the moment of booking we were treated so well, with a welcome message on our tv screen welcoming us in our married name mr and mrs Arnold. Lots of photo opportunities in the hotel and lovbYed the beatles themed cocktails!!! The hotel could not get any closer to the cavern which was great and the hard days night even threw in passes for us to get in on beatles tribute night. Would also highly recommend the beatles taxi tour in the hard days night own taxi with the very lovable local Joey. All the staff were very friendly with good local knowledge about the best places to go. Very high standards of service, very classy and not at in in your face as think the theme might be. We love the beatles so it was great for us but you could also stay if you were not a fan. breakfasts were also great. our only problem was that we didn't want to go home, there was still so much to do and wanted to spend more time in the cavern. We are going back next week for an extra night staying for 6 this time and can't wait. We hope to see some familiar faces and want to do the taxi tour again and get back on those cocktails!

6 of us stayed here and could not fault it, it was a fantastic stay. The rooms were excellent with everything you need. We were on the first floor looking out on the main road which was fine and my parents were on the 3rd floor with a view into a court yard.

A very disappointing experience. Booked a table for 3 as a birthday treat. On arrival they had only booked for 2 on a very small table. They did not seem to care about their mistake, no apology given. Total lack of service and very basic produce, we will definitely not return.

The table was only ever booked for two people and as you walked out without experiencing any service or product I do not feel you are in a position to comment on same.

Me and my boyfriend found the hard days night hotel excellent, we stayed for our one year anniversary. The room was beautifully decorated, the bath was amazing the shower was lovely too and the bed was the most comfy thing i have ever slept on!! the only faults i could find with this hotel would be there was no plug near a mirror to do my hair an there wasnt a fridge to keep a drink cool, other than that it was perfect, i would 100% stay again!!!

Great location. Lovely hotel however our room was on the side that looked out onto Mathew street and was noisy from the minute we got it. It got far worse as the night went on as the bars are open well into early hours of the morning so you get the noise from the music and the people. Woken up several times through the night because of this. windows are single glazed and we realise they trying to be in keeping with the building but these rooms on that side of the hotel would benefit from double glazed window to drown out even a bit of the noise. It was a shame as the bed was very comfortable and the room was spacious with everything you need in it.
Breakfast was cold. Overall it was not value for money. When we checked out we where not even asked it everything was ok with are stay, probably because they know what it's like to stay in that room on a Saturday night!!!!
If booking a room I would suggest you request a room that does not look onto Mathew street if you want to sleep.
Staff in the bars are very friendly and helpful.

Room Tip: Ask for one that is not looking onto mathew street.
