We had a good week exploring Liverpool and roundabout, which was easy as the flat was not far from city centre bus stops. We visited the Anthony Gormley statues on Crosby beach, the Museum of Liverpool, the Philarmonic Hall for a concert, the Anglican cathedral, the U-boat, Port Sunlight model village, all of which we can recommend. Plenty of free loos.
In the flat the cutlery/crockery/glassware and kitchen equipment was somewhat minimal, and the owner says he will remedy this. No TV or radio, but there was a WiFi signal, which worked. The large bed was comfortable. We didn't try the other one. A replacement microwave oven will be fitted. It was unfortunate the fire alarm went off and the water supply stopped one night. We think this was because of a mains electricity failure in the neighbourhood. The ground floor of the block smelt of rubbish near the entrance to the bin store.
Good northerly views from this fifth floor apartment. Comfortable, clean and in a good location about 7 minutes walk from Lime Street, Walker Gallery and St Georges Hall - both worth a visit. Plenty to do in Liverpool and good places to eat and drink. Many places in walking distance of flat.
Would stay here again.
Note: there is no tv. No problem for us but some may miss it.
