Owner description: A 15-minute walk from its Anglican counterpart along Hope Street, 1960s' "futurism" best describes the exterior of what's locally know as "Paddy's Wigwam." The huge interiors illuminated by natural light through the exquisite stained glass is worth the journey itself.

We came to the cathedral while showing a friend around Liverpool. It's in a great location that makes it accessible easily if You've come by train. They have a small cafe out the front of the main entrance. You can light a candle and make a donation at the dedicated station indoors. The inside is beautiful, there are few words that could describe the impact this building has. Stunning. I took a photo from the outside using my new camera as we were returning home in the evening.

Coming from the protestant end of belie I've found this place intreaguing but I've never called in...but when I did...I found it stunning and spiritually more nourishing the Anglican cathedral. Some amazing skilled craftsmen have worked their art for those who follow. It's a place to be proud of

After visiting the C of E cathedral this was a complete opposite. Very modern and welcoming, not that St John wasn't. I believe it's nicked named Paddy's Wigwam.

We visited the cathedral on a previous visit but had been unable to visit the crypt as it was being used so this time we visited jus the crypt. There is a video explaining the history of the crypt but as I am hearing impaired and it had no subtitles it was not great deal of use. There is a book containing the script but had I read that I would not have been able to view the video. That said the same information is on a set of 12 boards with plenty of photographs supporting it. The Crypt is really something though, and shows off some Lutyens many talents. and I think it is worth a visit.
