Stayed in the Lord Nelson for three nights and it very good value for a short stay in Liverpool. Very close to Lime Street train station for easy travel. It may not look great from the outside but the rooms are clean with coffee and tea making facilities. We also got a fan for free as the room was very warm even with the windows open. Also provided was a nice continental breakfast at no extra charge

Staff also very friendly and helpful. No better place to stay if you are on a budget

Basic, but clean, comfortable, very central, and only £65 for an en-suit twin B&B on a Friday night.

Maybe we didn't get the best room, as we only stayed for one night, but no complaints.
It is fairly basic, but apart from a few minor gripes, everything was fine.

It's not 5*, but it doesn't pretend to be.
Room was spotlessly clean, if a little tired. Refurbished in June 2015, according to a note stuck on the door.
Beds were clean, and freshly made.
En-suit was clean, everything worked & towels were fresh.
Hairdryer borrowed from reception.
The bathroom fan could wake the devil.
Internal room, (121 I think) with no view, but even if there was, we wouldn't have been able to see it, as the windows were frosted.
BIG modern TV, but we never switched it on.
Bring your own toiletries, as none provided.
Tea & coffee etc provided, but no extras available from the night porter, so when once you've had one drink, that's it.
Breakfast is a continental style buffet. Again, fairly basic, but it's included in the price, and kept us going till well into the afternoon.

I would recommend it, but don't take your loved one there for your first romantic trip away, or you might not be taking them for a second one.

PS. No parking, but plenty of car parks nearby, and 2 minute walk from Lime St station.

The cryptic title involves a joke shared with the ladies serving breakfast. They have got to be the friendliest and nicest people in Liverpool. This hotel does what is says on the tin and the staff are excellent. Nice breakfast and good budget hotel.

Had a small single room but what it lacked in size was made up by the Comfy bed, 42" Screen and a nice powerful shower. The staff where very friendly and helpful. Only problem I had was sometimes the lift door wouldn't open on the 2nd floor so it sent me back down to the ground floor. Would defo stay here again as its perfect for my needs.
