Hotel had good location. Only stayed for one night before traveling further but i can recommend. Right size room and well equipped. They have a friendly staff, I was late a bit coz the train had some trouble so I called them and they didn't make any issue.

Ill start by saying I think people expect far too much from cheap hotels nowadays. If you want something top dollar..pay for it and go to the Hilton.

For a budget hotel this was a great stay, free parking, cheap taxi to centre, room clean enough and comfy.

Yes.. its in need of a revamp in parts but tbh im unsure as to where all the bad reviews are coming from. We stay in a lot of hotels and as far as im concerned our room was spot on and our stay was pleasant.

The hotel needs pulling into the modern age a little but besides that don't let the bad reviews put you off weve stayed in far worse.

You get what you pay for

Well we stayed in Room 12, first floor at front of hotel. The room was spacious. Decor very unusual to say the least. But none of the nasties mentioned in previous reviews. Bed linen and towels were clean as was the carpet, no nasty smells. Yes there were a couple of cracked tiles on bathroom floor but the bathroom was clean, water pressure in shower was excellent. The bed was comfortable. Room was warm. Staff were polite. Plenty of car parking space. It would certainly be much more appealing with a tidy up. We did not have brekky as it seemed expensive. Let's face it you get what you pay for, it was inexpensive, location good, we had no complaints. If you want 5 star accommodation this is not for you, if you want 3 star go for it.
