I stayed at the hotel with my daughter it was a belated treat for her for a special birthday. She wasn't aware that I was planning a surprise for her birthday she just thought it was a weekend away for us. I phoned the hotel and organised an upgrade, flowers and wine in the room, balloons etc. The staff could not do enough and promised no to mention anything to my daughter. I had a small suitcase full of gifts for her which she thought was full of my clothes. I had arranged with the hotel to tell us on arrival that they were sorry the room wasn't ready but we could leave our bags. They took my case and emptied and placed all the gifts in the room. The look on my daughters face when we got back was priceless. The food and the service in their restaurant is excellent. A big big thank you to all the staff who made this a fantastic weekend.

Room Tip: I highly recommend an upgrade to a balcony room.

My boyfriend and I were in Liverpool for just one night and decided to stay at Heywood House. We got a really good deal for a plush room and it was everything we could have wanted. The room itself was gorgeous and the finishing touches like the iPod Dock, proper tea and coffee and the powerful shower really made our stay. I had ordered a bottle of bubbly for our arrival and this was chilling in an ice bucket ready as promised. The hotel was in a great location, walking distance to the docks, Liverpool One and the Cavern Quarter. We will no doubt visit Liverpool again and when we do we will most definitely be returning to this hotel!

Booked for a 3 night stay at the Heywood for my birthday weekend with my boyfriend. The hotel was lovely, we were upgraded from comfy room to plush room (dont know why but certainly didnt complain!) and the room was spotless. Location fab, i am always dubious when the location says very close to attractions, but this really was close to all attractions, yet quiet enough at night. Would def stay at this hotel again.

We managed to get a deal for Feb half term. We thought that for the price we paid we would get an average at best place but we couldn't be further from the truth.
Ideally situated between the docks and the shopping centre, we had the best of both worlds. The room was very spacious and the shower was huge. Most of the main attractions were in walking distance of the hotel. All in all we would stay here again. It's a shame we didn't eat there as it was only the last day we noticed the 50% dinner service they were offering. We did however have a drink in their bar with some excellent cocktails.
Highly recommended.
