Me and my friends stayed for one night, when we arrived we were greeted and the owner was very pleasent, he looked after us and had a sense of humour too :). The room was lovely and warm and very clean, plenty of tea and coffee to hand aswell :) would of liked a lock on the bathroom door though !!. The breakfast was lovely also the ladies who served us it. People who have wrote bad reviews about this place i am wondering is this the same place ?? all the staff were friendly with us, and for a small price of 25 pounds aswell !!. My friends and i would deffinatley stay there again if we have a night out in Liverpool in the future, without a doubt.

After reading the not very nice reviews that had been posted on here, i must be honest i was a little worried about staying at the Newsham Guest House. My sister and her partner and my partner and myself were all booked into the Newsham Guest House for a Beatles weekend. We were met by Lorraine who was the manager of the B&B and who, we all thought was a gem and was lovely. she made us feel really welcome and was really friendly. She showed us to our room and gave us all the info wirh regards to breakfast times etc... Our rooms were lovely and clean, my partner and me had a huge room with loads of beds in it, the decor was nice and the bathroom, although small, was plenty big enough for our needs.
Downstairs there was a games room, all decorated in a Liverpool style dressing rooms, with loads of different memorabilia on the walls, equipped with a kareoke machine, pool table, football table and TV and DVD. It was right in the basement of the house so you didnt really hear any noise from it, well we didnt anyway.
The location of the B&B is in Kensington, and although it isn't one of the poshest parts of Liverpool, the guest house was lovely. On both nights we got a cab and it didnt cost anymore than 5 pounds, and the taxi drivers were all really lovely and friendly.
This was our first ever trip to Liverpool, and we would definitely go back and stay at the Newsham.
Lorraine, if you do read this, Dave and Loxi say thanks for their extra sausages : 0 )

If you want a nice b&b to have a rest in Liverpool, then don't go there!!! We spent too nights there, the first one after 6h30 drive, we needed to rest a bit. After a quick and cold welcome, we discovered a nice room. But that'sthe only nice thing in this place! From 2 o'clock to 6 o'clock in the morning, we had people shouting, laughing, slaming the doors, and no one there to make them keep quiet. After 2 hours sleep, we had breakfast in "Rococco" style room (some like it!) and it's the worst breakfast we've had in England...and we had a lot!
On Sunday night, we thought we would have more time to sleep, actuelly we had 2 and a half more hour as the noise stopped around 3h30 in the morning!
I think this B&B is made for people who like messing around, shouting, drinking (and drink so much that they can't taste the breakfast) and where the word RESPECT is unknown. We left and noone cared about how we felt. It is the worse place I've stayed in in all my life.
