“Excellent Location, Gorgeous Rooms”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 2 April 2012

We booked our weekend through a company called 'Mojito' who specialise in Hen party packages. There were 8 of us in our group, so we had 2 apartments next to each other - They were amazing. We had 2 bathrooms per apartment, which was a godsend for all us ladies wanting to get ready at once. The rooms are huge, and have all the essentials you need. We made full use of our apartment, and spent our first night in one of the rooms, we used all the kitchen facilities to cook up a meal, and had a relaxing evening in. The staff at the Hotel were really pleasant. With our package we had breakfast hampers which contained everything you would need to start the day. It was lovely. If you do not have the hampers included there is a lovely bar / restaurant called the Hub underneath the hotel. We had lunch / drinks there and it was very nice and reasonably priced. The location of the hotel is excellent. It is right on the edge of Liverpool one, so if you're here for a shopping spree it's not far to dump your bags back at the hotel before you carry on with your spending. It's also a 10 minute walk to the Albert Dock, or 10 minutes to the cavern quarter, where we had a very lively Saturday night. There are lots of bars around here, most open until the very early hours. Overall our trip to Liverpool was FAB, and I would definitely use Mojito again for a Hen / birthday party. I would also recommend this hotel for a little luxury in Liverpool.

In the lead up to your stay the staff can't do enough for you. On arrival the staff members were very rude & not very helpful. The room was lovely, 5 of us were staying, everything we needed was there, a bit of ware & tear and a little TLC needed in the room (cracks in the walls, paint touch ups etc etc) We got to bed around 3am but were kept awake most of the night by passers by, the windows seem very old and did not keep local traffice noise or street niose out, invest in double glazing! We left in the morning and asked how we enjoyed our stay on checkout, we had enjoyed our stay but when making suggestions staff became very defensive and a few of them crowded around the front desk and seemed to have an answer for everything. Great location and lovely apartments overall but staff need to be trained on adequate customer service, they are letting you down.

We stayed in the Liverpool themed apartment for my husbands 30th and in the lead up to our arrival the hotel staff couldnt do enough for us. Once we arrived and paid we felt us though they didn't need to think of us anymore. They promote as daily serviced but our apartment was not serviced during our stay. The football tickets arrived the day of the game and we managed to get them at 12:30! The match started at 3pm. We were charged £360 for four tickets and when they arrived they had £42 printed on them which means we were charged over double per ticket. We were sat next to the away fans and when we complained the hotel manager blamed the company they book them through and refused to except responsibility. We also suffered with lack of hot water and rock hard beds.
On the plus side the apartment was stunning but the hotel needs to realise you can't just sell a hotel on its rooms it needs to have everything to be a 4/5 star place.

Everything about the apartment we had was top class and of a high spec finish.the location is second to none and there is everything provided for you that you could want or need for your stay. Perhaps the only moan I could have had was that the bed was two singles pushed together rather than a double bed, but even then they were extremely comfy. Also the curtains were quite thin and the bedrooms were a bit noisy compared to the living room but apart from those small problems the stay and the apartments were superb.

For my birthday my husband treated me and 3 of my friends to a one night stay in the Champagne Penthouse, which he had previosly viewed. On arrival we got to the apartment and it was not the Champagne Penthouse it was an ordinary penthouse which smelled of damp and had curtains missing, just empty tracks in living room. When we complained we were offered a mid week stay in an ordinary room. Which I am not inetersted in due to work. If I wanted an ordinary room we would have asked and paid for that. So this was a major rip off.
