Description: Cafe Zoot is a privately owned business opened in 2000, located in the heart of historic Lincoln. During this time we have become renowned for consistently offering quality produce at great value, where a lively atmosphere is commonplace and friendly staff are attentively at your service. In January 2013 Cafe Zoot underwent an extensive refurbishment. After listening to our customers on ways in which we could improve our restaurant, Cafe Zoot now boasts a brand new look, and a much more spacious interior. We are open seven days a week from 8.30Am till late and offer a Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner menu. Throughout the week we also offer a Lunch Special Two Course Menu for £8.50 And an All Day Special Two Course Menu for £11.95. (Everyday except Saturday from 5.00Pm till 10.30Pm) Our Chefs have worked hard on designing a menu with the classic dishes our customers love as well as offering an exciting A'la Carte menu with dishes to get your taste buds going!! We always use fresh quality produce and our dishes our homemade and cooked to order. Cafe Zoot can cater for various functions, whether you fancy a Champagne Breakfast, Birthday or Anniversary Celebration, we can also cater for Business conferences and meetings. Whatever the occasion come and celebrate with us!!

Extremely disappointing - visited tonight and could not wait to leave. Untrained staff made the whole experience unenjoyable! Food is bland and pasta sauces watery! Had to ask three times for some water for the table and twice for the dirty plates on our table to be cleared. This place looks lovely from the outside and gives the impression of fine dining but that’s as far as it goes.

Visited this restaurant yesterday fir a meal with the family. On arrival we were greeted and seated.

First gripe was the waitress didn't know the soup of the day.

Starters were bland apart from the soup which was good.

The mains arrived. One of the pasta dishes had the ends of the pasta burnt as if it had been under a grill to re-heat. The chicken dish was bland and watery and the chicken was tough.

I made the waitress aware of this.

On receipt of the bill for over £130 I asked the waitress if she had mentioned the problems to the manager and she said "oh not yet, do you want me to have a word now?"

Manager didn't even have the decency to come and have a word and apologise.

Waitress returned with £10 off the bill.

Service was slow, food poor, won't be returning as this place has really gone down.

Pity because it was once very good.

We visited here as a work group to celebrate a birthday.

The staff were all very lovely and friendly. Our orders were taken quickly and air food was served promptly.

We had no issues what so ever and the restaurant can clearly deal with large groups.

Went here after a disastrous visit to tequilas - avoid that like the plague.

Cafe Zoot was a pleasant change, a nice relaxed atmosphere and good service, if a bit slow.
Set menu was a slightly cheaper option but there was a good choice of food and it was delicious.
If you are not in a rush then this is a great option for a nice relaxed meal, if you're in a rush go to McDonald's.

Me and 3 Friends visited on Saturday evening, the staff were friendly and we were seated upstairs.
Starter came out and it was promising with a nice baked camembert which was tasty, however we then had a really long wait before the mains came out and I was extremely underwhelmed. The filet steak was really thin and underwhelming for £27 and my friends Paella was pretty bland. The main basis of this comparison is from Ginos round the corner which is flawless and a similar price point. Overall the staff were friendly but underwhelmed by the food and long waits in-between meals. Was average wouldn't rush to return.
