I stayed with my husband and teenager for a couple of nights break away during the Easter holidays. We parked at the hotel itself which is on a first come first served basis but we phoned the hotel when we were 5 mins away and they confirmed that there were spaces available. The cost is £12.00 per night but to be honest it's not much cheaper in the multi-storey 5 mins away and we were prepared to pay it.
One of the things that made our stay amazing was the staff. Every single staff member that we came into contact with was so friendly and helpful. And we even enjoyed a bit of Marvel banter with our waiter, Thomas G in the Marco Pierre White Grill Restaurant in the hotel. The food in the hotel restaurant is lovely. The rooms were massive, clean and comfy and although the hotel was right on the popular waterfront we didn't hear any noise.
The Electric cocktail bar in the hotel is a great venue for relaxing with a cheeky cocktail. I can recommend the non-alcoholic Strawberry Passion and the alcoholic, Electric cocktail. Note, under 18's are welcome in the bar until 9pm.
There are loads of places to eat and drink on the waterfront and the high street is only a 10 minute walk away where there are loads more bars, restaurants and shops.
Be warned the walk to the Cathedral and the Castle is called 'Steep Hill' and they aren't joking BUT I walk with a stick due to mobility problems and I made it up and down okay. Slow and steady is the way!
We loved our stay at the DT by Hilton and we will definitely be returning. Maybe a balcony room next time so that we can enjoy a bottle of fizz as the sun sets over the water!

Room Tip: Accessible rooms are fully equipped for wheelchair users with wider doors and wet room style bathrooms with shower seat and lowered sink.

it's a lovely hotel with amazing river walk and nice resturants and bars around.
Directly on the river, has delicious brekfast, small gym.
No free parking though, you still need to pay to park your car.

Great location, walking distance to shops and Cathedral. The hotel is located to all the eateries.
Check- in was smooth and were given 2 lovely warm cookies. We were very lucky to be upgraded to a superior room which was comfortable with good quality Beddings. The room was very clean and spacious. We didn't have dinner in the hotel so can't comment on that but the breakfast was great with a good variety of food. We were given a table by the window so had a good view of the marina and Cathedral. The only negative point is the parking which cost us £12. We would definitely stay there again.

Stayed for Saturday night, meeting and visiting family. First of all the hotel is a really nice location but can be a challenge to make your way through the traffic - the local football crowd made sure to gridlock the city. Hotel is crisp and clean with usual doubletree amenities. Like most Hilton’s the beds are in the firm side and the lobby could do with being less sparse and a inviting a warmer welcome.

Dear Kevin R
Thank you for the kind feedback.
I am sorry about the traffic on a match day, these are of course limited but depending on the opponents traffic can be heavy.
In relation to the lobby, we appreciate this feedback and I can confirm we are currently working with designers to enhance this space.
With kind regards
Jonathan
