What a place You will need energy to walk up Steep Hill but at the top the cathedral is spectacular. Try and find the stoned carved imp - if you can!!

The jewel at the top of the hill! Amazing architecture and stained glass. We enjoyed quiet, reflective time in the chapel and lit candles for our loved ones. Beautiful. Not to be missed.

Right at the top of a steep hill stands this beautiful Cathedral. Opens daily at 07.30; it is £8.00 for admission, however, you are able to go in and visit the shop or light a candle in the small chapel for a donation. Beautiful place; highly worth a visit.

We visted the cathedral a couple of times during our visit to Lincoln as there was so much to fit in! We bought the joint castle and cathedral ticket which was well worth it! We did the floor tour (part of the entrance fee) and the roof tour (£4 per person)- both were excellent and the guides (Jean and Terry respectively) were brilliant! Both tours opened our eyes to things we would never have known had we not done them and doing the roof tour enables behind the scenes access! This cathedral is a site to see and the staff (paid and volunteers!) are warm and welcoming. A must visit!

History and Hysteria in equal measures- Ken's talk was riveting. He navigated his group round the cathedral with total assurance- no one jumped ship or went for the life boats- when he finishes with guiding maybe he could go on the circuit! Well worth a visit- Lincoln Cathedral was awe inspiring
