Architecturally this is not a pretty building - but it is superbly located right next to the cathedral. It takes 3 minutes to walk from the front door. We had a double room with a balcony with a full view of the cathedral from the window. The room was large, well-furnished and exceptionally clean. In fact the whole hotel was both spacious and spotless. £90 including breakfast - which had a good menu of hot& cold - seemed a decent deal. A pity there is a charge of £5 for parking - but it's understandable in an old city with crammed narrow streets. The staff were young, hard working and very pleasant. We had a problem with a sink plug, and the shower in the bath needs altering from being a fixed overhead one to a lower flexible hose type - but the housekeeping staff accepted these problems and you had the feeling this would be put right. Our trip was a short 2 day break and part of the pleasure was this nice hotel.

Room Tip: Rooms with a balcony have the cathedral view

Stayed here for one night in March and found it to be a good choice. Staff very friendly and helpful.
It is well placed for the cathedral, castle and the lovely walk down the Steep Hill (very aptly named!), through the shopping area and onto Brayford Pool(waterfront area with bars and restaurants).
Reasonable sized double room, with patio door and a small balcony with a side view of the cathedral.
Breakfast was good with plenty of choice. Didn't eat in the Green Room so unable to comment on evening meal.
Would recommend for a short stay.

If your looking for somewhere to stay in Lincoln, which is set right in the very heart of the beautiful Bailgate, with awesome views of the Cathedral. Then you must stay and relax at lovely and sophisticated Lincoln Hotel which offers everything you could possibly need to give you memorable and enjoyable visit to Lincoln and Lincolnshire.

We dined in the Green Room in the evening and the dishes are modern in style offering elegant, original combinations of flavours all made from locally grown ingredients. The Head Chef and his team work very hard on their menu’s and you can really appreciate their passion, as it is shown very clearly in the food. The General Manager Victoria Andrews and her staff will look after your every need during your stay, working tirelessly in keeping you happy.

We wery happy with our stay at the Lincoln Hotel and would highly recommend it to anyone!!

Lovely comfortable room with a fantastic view of the cathedral, from the outset the staff were all inviting and curtious. We opted for the Green room dinning and enjoyed a full 3 course meal with a great selection of wines. The food was tasty and well presented, within a pleasant atmosphere and great service - we also ventured to the bar 67 and had an enjoyable pre dinner drink. After a very comfy night sleep we meandered down for breakfast - excellent choice from full English through to fruits and yogurts - with choice of tea, coffees and fruit juices - I must admit i had seconds of the black pudding - very nice:) the breakfast boasted the best view of the cathedral on a slow Sunday morning - which we then enjoyed a short stroll around the Bailgate and into the Lincoln Castle - One of the most relaxing times we have had in a long time - a wonderful way of celebrating our 11 wedding anniversary - so a big thank you goes to the Lincoln hotel and all the staff. What a great Hotel!

Room Tip: Ask for the room with the balcony overlooking the Cathedral
