First impressions are good because the place looks pretty terrific. You can sit and drink at the bar area or wait to be seated, though I'd recommend booking as we did as even at lunch time there was a one hour wait for tables to become free.

The staff were pleasant, but seemed a little harried. I don't know if that was just because it was a busy service or if they were a bit short-handed.

The Scotch Egg and Smoked Salmon starters were very nice and the Sirloin Steak and Burger were similarly very good. Very full by the end of it and will more than likely be back in the future.

Lovely building well converted so first impressions good, however, after that things go downhill a bit. Staff very pleasant but (as with a lot of chains) too few of them to deliver decent service so takes too long to get served at the bar, place orders, get drinks replenished etc. Food OK but nothing special (my chicken was a bit over cooked and dry) and at the top end price wise for what it was. Wouldn’t cross it off my list completely but wouldn’t rush back.

We ate at the Cosy Club last night for a belated Easter meal. We were shown straight to our table, plenty of room for the 3 of us (we were asked before sitting down if we needed a gluten free or allergen menu) . Drink order was taken and they arrived quickly, food order was taken and we were advised of a 25 minute order time for the fish pie which has okay for us as we ordered starters as well as mains. Food was good and we were all stuffed by the end of the meal (having opted for the sharing pudding between us).
For a Tuesday evening the restaurant was packed, the lady who served us was efficient and friendly.
We will definitely be returning

A welcome new restuarant to the heart of central Lincoln. The building is an old converted indoor vegetable market which is steeped in history. The renovation has been completed to a very high standard. Busy vibrant atmosphere. You can just turn up but be aware of a wait for tables so book ahead if you can. There is a lovely bar area to have a drink or cocktail whilst waiting with slopping seating for comfort. Menu is good. Tapas was lovely as was the Empire Curry. Veggie options are good too. Staff are very friendly and Hannah, the Manager, is super nice. Food is cooked fresh so a bit of a wait when they are ultra busy. We shall be regular visitors to The Cosy Club from now on.

Firstly what a lovely building however no hand pulled beers & the stout ran out the young chap was pleasant but please give the staff the support they require by restocking & managing the bar, this is not the first time this has happened to us.
