“What a nice hotel!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 18 June 2012

Booked this hotel at the last minute for a Saturday night. I used to live in Lincoln so knew where this hotel was. Handily placed for the city centre but just far enough away to miss the hustle and bustle.
Pleasant check in after arriving mid evening. Room on 5th floor with great views except the cathedral (which could be seen from the corridor window though). Good sized room, clean and had all the essentials. Big shower but water pressure was a bit low. No complaints there.
Had a couple of drinks in the bar, reasonably priced and very polite barman.
Breakfast was complimentary and a self service affair. Cereals, yoghurts, continental stuff, fruit juice etc plus sausage, scrambled eggs, beans (no bacon) so a decent selection.
Cannot understand the whining about the £5 car park charge. Leave your car there all day and explore the city on foot and for just £5. Its safe and secure - try one of the public ones!
I agree completely with the comments by Earlybirdx on 12th June. Would definitely return and will be in August!

Room Tip: Get the highest floor you can for good views and less road noise.

We stayed here on a business trip and I was very impressed with the hotel. £5 for parking I feel is not unreasonable. The city is within walking distance as is the waterfront where you can eat at a choice of eateries.
The room was very clean, modern and well equipped. The shower ran a bit slow, but that is the only negative comment that I can make.
The staff where very helpful and friendly.
The complimentary breakfast was a bonus. I have paid £17 for breakfast that did not come anywhere near the standard that was on offer. I am not into an English breakfast and I did not feel that what was on offer was unreasonable (as it was complimentary). the choice of other
things on offer where more than ample. E.g. Toast, cereal. fruit, yoghurt, mini muffins, croissants, etc.
I would not hesitate in returning to this hotel.

This is a fairly new hotel and as you'd hope - the rooms are of excellent standard for a mid-range hotel, the breakfast service perfectly acceptable and a good value rate.

Was slightly disappointed with the car parking charge of £5 considering the hotel is slightly out of the city centre.

Stayed here for one night on saturday the 9th June 2012 in a twin room breakfast included.
I only stayed here as I couldn't get into the Premier Inn otherwise I would not have gone near it due to the parking fee.
Most has been said already in other reviews but just to add my bit.
I knew about the £5 parking before I went, this doesn't mean I agree with it.. Staying in hotels in Europe usually incurs a parking fee as they don't usually have their own car parks. However from what I could see this was their own car park and I don't see how they can warrant a charge on a car park that isn't quite 'in' the city. Enough about parking. Staff were pleasant and check in was made straight forward and very professional. The twin room was tidy and clean though rather a tight fit. We had a suitcase and couldn't get it passed the bottom of the beds it was so narrow. Beds were comfortable with nice pillows. Plenty of lights (and switches) Air con in the room was noisy and we had to turn it off. Opening the window no good either as you're surrounded by the main roads on one side and overlooking the car park on the other. Was woken up at 10.30pm by family arriving in room next to us. Our room had an adjoining door to the next room which was literally at the end of the beds so could hear everything next door for the next 2 hours.
Had no complaints about the breakfast. Plenty of cereals, yogurts, croissants, bread toast and condiments. The warm breakfast was scrambled eggs, sausage and beans which were very nice although I had a job getting them on the little side plates they provide. Plenty of tea and coffee selection. I know a lot of people have left good reviews for this place but I can't help feeling it was very expensive for what you get. If I had been booked in for longer I would have left after the one night. Oh, I nearly forgot the WIFI... another added extra!

Room Tip: If you don't need to be next to the town centre then try the Lincoln Premier Inn

Stayed in this Hotel with a friend for the Diamond Jubilee..we were after somewhere cheap and cheerful and this place certainly met our needs!! Lovely twin room with everything we needed. We arrived 3 hours prior to check in but were able to check in early with no issues or extra cost. Staff were extremely polite and accomodating throughout the stay. There was an additional cost for parking but a small cost in comparison to other areas of Lincoln. We also paid this cost in the morning but kept the car there all day whilst we ventured into town (£4 for 2 days parking is a bargain!!)
The room was lovely, very clean and modern. The beds were exceptionally comfy with firm and soft cushions labelled on the bed - nice little touch for a 'cheap express' hotel.
The cost of £45 per night was a bargain considering how nice our stay was and also that breakfast was included (Breakfast could have had more variety in terms of cooked breakfast but this did not impact on out overall experience)
I would highly recommend this hotel and would stay again :) For us, the 10 min walk into town was not an issue, if anything it was nice walking into town via the brayford.
