As a conference venue this is a good location. The converted halls of residence have been made to a good standard, with rooms in 'two' parts - a small office area and bathroom with the bed in an adjacent space. Food quality was good although staff were fixated on 'allocations' (so for example even if they were throwing something away you got x potatoes and that was it...). No gym is a shame too (you can use the University gym but its some way off and not an obvious route (its this lack that stops it getting a better score).

This place used to be old university accommodation which has been converted into a hotel. Nice cosey rooms with all the essentials, included a hair dryer and iron and ironing board in the room, taking it a step up from a budget hotel in terms of quality but around the same price point. Shower was fantastic, free parking and the breakfast included with our stay was yummy!

This hotel was a nice surprise in a nice area. The room was nice and spacious we had executive room all was clean and tidy and adequate. The breakfast was really nice and lovely feature to the stay. Didn't eat at the restaurant tho.
Only downside is I understand a deposit is needed but for all kinds of people you should be able to pay this with cash or card not just card. The room was a tad to warm but apart from that a pleasant stay would stay again.

This is a converted university halls which has been tastefully done to provide a nice hotel which retains some of the old feel of halls. Rooms are of a good size well equipped and immaculate. Good bar on site and serves a great breakfast. Good facilities for conferences on site. Free decent wifi. Restaurant on site which I did not try.

This is an excellent hotel that was originally University accommodation. The rooms are in building blocks and the main building has the dining room and conference facilities. Rooms are great and the staff always pleasant and very helpful. I stay here once a week during academic term time and I wouldn't stay anywhere else. The rooms have enough towels and are warm and with a great shower and bathroom facilities that I fell at home. Beds are comfortable and there are tea and coffee facilities, wall TV and an iron. I haven't eaten in so can't comment on the food. Breakfast is very could and has everything for a filling cooked or healthy breakfast. Highly recommend. Plenty of free on site parking.
