“Las Vegas of England”
Reviewed 13 October 2010

Blackpool is known as the Las Vegas of England. If you love to gamble and want to enjoy the night life, then Blackpool is the place for you. A place full of night clubs, bars, good restaurants.
Tip: Do not travel to Blackpool on Mondays, the whole place is closed on that day.

My review on Blackpool Stayed in Blackpool several times the resort is excellent but the bus service can be Better when try to get the number one to fleetwood there should be more double deckers as my partner and i waiting at the stop and the bus was full. Blackpool is still one the most reasonable in the uk. Shop were good staff very helpful weather as good and the shops very dog friendly and would recommend springfield market on north shore also Bonney street market also very good And i would recommend the weatherspoon public house Also Blackpool was very clean compared to whistable in kent where they rubbish left on the street D Ashton Would be back to Blackpool soon

“a disappointment this time!”
Reviewed 8 October 2010

Although myself and husband have been to Blackpool many times before, we decided to take our 14 yr old daughter to see the lights and experience Blackpool. Much to her disappointment the pepsi max was closed the weeekend that we visited (2nd - 4th Oct 2010) . It was a busy weekend with tourists and just thought that maybe they could have carried out the maintainance at a more quiter period. She was so looking forward to going on that. Even though there was plenty to do in the daytime, you were very limited to where you could take a child in the evenings,(except for spending in the arcades) we looked for a pub with family entertainment, and some clearly advertised "families welcome" but were overflowing with stag and hen parties who were clearly worse for wear, so no place to take a child. We finally went to central pier where they did have a family bar at he rear, (with arcades again very near by)....we visited the bar again on the Sunday but again disappointed to find it closed!!!!!

“ribby hall village”
Reviewed 12 September 2010

Ribby Hall Village is a holiday park close to Blackpool. We visited with two young children. It is absolutely lovely! The staff are friendly and helpful, the cottages are modern and spacious, well equipped and clean. There is a large pool area and also an indoor play centre for young children. Outside there is a play area, fishing lakes, boating and a climbing wall. There is also an equestrian centre but we did not make use of this. It was common for horse riders to go past when we were walkingalong, and yes, the horses did their dirty on the roads but it was soon cleared up. We did not access The Restaurant as it seemed pricey and formal and we wanted a more informal approach, the Clubhouse met this criteria and we could feed the ducks outside at the same time! A fantastic relaxing break, we will be visiting again!
