“Well worth the money, we'll stay again.”
Reviewed 13 June 2011

We were a group of 5 girls going on a night out for a birthday and we could not fault this hotel what so ever.

On arriving we were not sure where to park and the owners checked if there was availability out back for us. We managed to get a spot and the owner even offered to park it up for us in case i was abit nervous as it was a tight squeeze.

We were able to book in earlier than stated and as there was five of us we were even offered an extra room at no extra charge as they had a cancellation. I asked when they wanted us to pay and she said whenever, after breakfast if we want which was really nice. They were really laidback about everything. We did not need the room as the large room for 5 had plenty of space for all of us and that's good as 5 girls getting ready to go out could be a nightmare. They even offered us more keys but the two sets they gave were enough.

The room was basic but very clean and that's the main thing. We all had a small and a big towel each at the foot of each bed. The beds were so comfy I didn't want to get up but glad I did because the food was lovely at breakfast.

We were able to place our orders for breakfast early that evening before we went out and they had exactly what you ordered ready for you in the morning with hardly any wait and you was not rushed in the morning at all. We sat chatting for ages afterwards. We brought our bags down with us as we were right at the top of the hotel so we wanted to save our legs and we were able to leave them to one side whilst having breakfast.

Some of the girls wanted to walk along the front to buy prezzies for their kids and I was the driver and a bit unsure what to do with the car as a lot of roadworks were going on. The owner overheard and very kindly told us we could leave our bags where they were and the car at the back for as long as we wished, which we found very helpful and very nice of them.

I've stayed in quite a few hotels in Blackpool and this by far was the best allrounder. We'll definately stay here again. Love it.

The owners couldn't have been more accomodating especially since we were a hen party and not all B&B's accept them. They kindly extended the checkout time for our circumstances. They were also extremely friendly and made us feel welcome. Best part was the choice of fried options for breakfast!
The room was just the right size, accomodating 3 of us. The only downside was that the heating was on quite a bit and it sometimes felt like a sauna.
The location of the B&B is ideal if you are wanting to stay in Blackpool but also want a good nights sleep as it is just inland from the main front.
Would definitely stay here again!

I was very disapointed with my stay, the room was very small not suitable for more than one night stay, the bedding was not great the quilt cover had holes in it and the bottom sheet had seen better days. The service was fast no sooner had you sat to eat your breakfast it had to be eaten quickly before taken away, the owner was paceing the dinning room clock watching, that made me feel uncomfotable, their was no choice except full breakfast or cereal once the choice had been made it wasnt changeable.
If you wanted milk for your room you had to buy it your self......
The room wasnt cleaned daily only the bin was emptyed. If i could of got my money back i would of left the moment i entered the building , that wouldnt of happened so we had to make the most of are stay , we were so glade to leave.

I am not sure if the guest has reviewed the right Guest House, with regard to Breakfast we offer many options including cereal, orange juice, grapefruit, fruit, Full English, Poached Eggs, Scrambled Eggs, Boiled Eggs, Beans on Toast. Brown or White Toast. We service rooms every day and top up tea and Coffee trays. Milk is included on all tea and Coffee trays and fresh milk is available on request. I suspect the Guest has reviewed another hotel on our page by mistake, I have checked the dates around the review and cannot find any booking from Scotland for this period. However wherever she stayed something I don't understand is why this guest didn't say anything at the time of her stay if she was so unhappy, I would have certainly have complained if the linen in the room was not up to an acceptable standard.
