My wife and I visited last year. Had not planned on going but on a stroll outside Blackpool we came upon it. A great surprise and so glad we got the chance to walk about it without interruption. Various activities and sights to see.

MY first trip to Stanley Park was in late April 2010. How uplifting to see and hear so many birds . So many people in Blackpool have concreted over their gardens and done away with their hedges ,it's as if Stanley Park has become bird "city" I love the variety of trees although I wish there was a good half acre of fruit trees too. Still the gardens are a delight to behold something different with each season . Three cheers to all the people involved in looking after the park and who organise all the free events . The Art Deco Cafe is a bit pricy but its worth taking a "nitpic" and having a slow much whilst taking it all in. And any leftovers are appreciated by the many ducks, geese and other feathered friends . There are boats for hire, and sports facilities, and a good children's play area which is away from the quiet sitting areas. There are good paths for people with mobility scooters . Dog bins for 'oops. Toilets by the cafe. This is one of the most delightful parks that I have ever been to.
