I had the privilege of staying at this hotel, and it was a realy enjoyable stay. Despite the heating having been broken, this was repaired and if anyone was cold they had heaters provided. The entertainment was first class, the food was wonderful. The staff were very attentative and professional, I would go there any time and have an awesome holiday, thankyou to you all.

Room Tip: try for a sea view, we didn't have one but for the time we spent in the room, it was good. The o...

My husband and I have just had a 3 day break at the New President hotel and was very surprised at the comments some people have made. The meals are excellant with plenty of choice and the staff cant do enough for you especially alex. The rooms ! well yes they are a little dated but have an en-suite.We were in room 213 which is a twin room overlooking the rear of the hotel and I must admit there was a constant smell of cooking but we just closed the window. We are of the view that we only sleep in the room and as long as the beds are clean thats enough especially when on a short break. If you want the ritz you have to pay for the ritz which unfortunately some people expect.Going back to the meals there is soup, salad, carvery, fish and more ,breakfast is cereal or for the more shall I say hearty of eaters a full english. We booked through Travelstyle arriving Friday and vacating Sunday what a bargain £49 each .Well done travelstyle and well done The New President hotel. The only fault I could see was the information book in the room was outdated regarding entertainment it referred to last year but hey thats no hanging matter

i am due to go to this hotel next weekend i have just rang to check that everything is ok like you do, and the lady i spoke to was very rude and asked me why would i be checking that to which i replied i am just generally enquireing that everything was ok nd there were no problems and then she just said well it is i , have never spoken to any1 that has ever asked me that question in such a rude way i think the hotel staff need to have a lesson in Personal Relations because they clearly have none

Thank you for your feed back in the way that your request was dealt with .
It would be most helpful if you had the name of the person that you spoke to as all our staff are trained in customer service and rudeness to a guest will not be tolerated.
As you can see from a number of our reviews the hotel is praised on the customer care that is given from our staff to all of our guests.
Please when you visit the hotel make your self known to me then this matter can be investigated more throughly, and I feel sure you will be delighted with your stay and the hospitality received from all our staff throughout the hotel.
Best regards
Liz Walsh

the food, entertainment.and staff were great but the room my mother and I was allocated was very dismal...I did mention when booking that my mum had a wheelchair and was exxpected to be put into a disabled room, I ended up on the second floor, the room was dark and dismal....I had trouble getting the wheelchair in and out of the hotel and especially in the room, On our last night my mum had a fall in the room causing her to bruise her face on the corner of the wall that was between the bed and where the toilet was...would be ok for normal people without disabillities but this was totally unsuitable for a disabled person the room would be a lot better modernised and made into a single. Maybe this was partly my fault as i should have complained.

Room Tip: If booking a room for a disabled person then please double check that this is what you will get when...

Didn't know what to expect after reading reviews, but glad we whent. Hotel was spotless, food was lovely, and the staff were all friendly, nothing to much trouble. It was real value for money, whent with travel style and for £49 b&b and evening meal selfdrive was great. Even had evening entertainment which was good if you didn't fancy going out,
