We booked online for a two night stay. The hotel is situated on the North Shore of Blackpool, and approximately 3 miles from the pleasure beach. The bus and tram service from the hotel along the promenade is excellent so you should not be put off by the location. There is off road car parking provision at the hotel. The hosts are very friendly and approachable. At the time of our visit the hotel was quiet and this may be the reason why we did not see the bar open at any time. We had a sea view room, which was tidy and spotless clean - as was the rest of the hotel. Full English breakfast was very nice and served by the hosts themselves. Would definately return to The Ramsay Hotel when we visit Blackpool again.

Room Tip: Sea view Rooms available at the front of the hotel

Excellent hotel for the price. (So don't increase the price if you read this review). Small hotel but standards are good. The owners are very accommodating and the full English breakfast is excellent. Spoke to some other Clientèle who have been coming here for 10 years now, because it's in a good location and QUIET! There are no hen or stag parties here, so just what we wanted . We are a group of three couples and some of us play in a band (Idle promise - Plug!), so after we had done our work for the night, it was a pleasure to come back here and chill out.
Will be back again soon!

Only stayed one night as we were breaking up our journey.
The room was clean, warm and comfortable. The bed was king size and fantastic we had a sea view room and it was worth every penny extra we paid for it. The bathroom was a shower only and we found the towels very small, Hence the 4 star rating.
Breakfast was excellent, service first rate.Staff were very friendly. Overall a very comfortable place to stay with excellent public areas to sit,we are looking forward to a longer stay when we return for the illuminations with our grandchildren.

Staff

Room Tip: Room two bay room excellent sea views,

I made the booking at the Ramsay Hotel at the last minute, for a New Year break for myself and husband. We were welcomed by a pleasant receptionist who booked us in and advised us on the breakfast timetable 9 to 9:30 ( this seemed a small narrow window for a hotel with 22 bedrooms) departure details, along with issuing us with our room and front door keys. We took ourselves to our room which we found to be very clean, warm and comfortable with a lovely sea view. Having checked out the lounge and bar area we decided to take a stroll along the prom and returned approx 5pm. The hotel looked very warm and welcoming and we thought we may partake in a drink before going into Blackpool for our evening meal. The bar area, which was locked earlier, was still locked and in darkness and there was no staff members around. Not to worry we decided to get ready for our night out and try again before setting off into Blackpool. Unfortunately the bar was still closed and in darkness as was the case on our return at 10pm. Not quite what I expected. The following morning we were greeted by a friendly lady in the breakfast room had the breakfast (which was ok) and went home. The hotel was clean and very well kept, the staff, when you saw them, were friendly but the overall ambience was lacking and did not leave me with any desire to return.
