The pump and truncheon was recommended as best pub friendly pub in Blackpool. Can't say if it is as we only found one other but this one was our favourite. Don't be put off by the outside appearance - it is warm and welcoming inside. A little quirky perhaps but glad we visited. Unfortunately it doesn't do food as such. The barman did offer a choice of pizzas but we decided to try elsewhere for lunch. A mistake as we failed to find anywhere we could take our dog and it was a cold drizzly day so eating outside had little appeal, even though in the end we had no option.

Lovely beer and looked like a good range of ciders. There's a discount for CAMRA members. Very pleased to find this hidden gem.

Lovely, friendly pub. Great atmosphere and some unique ales and ciders. Right by the market for some shopping and a roaring fire to defrost by on a cold day. Some lovely old stuff to look at on the walls, pizza at fair prices and a pool table too.

This is a great old pub which is full of character and a short walk from the main promenade in Blackpool. The drink prices were very reasonable. We were there on a Saturday evening and stayed for the band playing who were great - The Great Tune Robbery - I believe.
