What can i say about this hotel,it was cheep.The room was in need of a good clean,shower was spattered with blood and in need of a clean.Trying to get a drink in the bar was almost impossible,having to go to reception,ask for someone to serve and then wait .Breakfast,every thing looked like it needed a good clean.The only thing i can say good about the stay was that the staff were great,pity about the rest.

Having recently lost my mom
I wanted this weekend to be a special one for me to relive my childhood and remember my mom

To be treated as we were
Abused and set upon in the carpark by fellow guests
To be called liars by management
To have our car vandalised and tyres damaged resulting in us leaving early wasting money on pre booked attractions totally ruined my much needed break away ....

We had arrived late having been held up on the motorway
On arrival we asked if we could just park our car in an undesignated space whilst we off loaded our clothes and used the toilet

We were told not a problem
Infact you can leave your car here display a ticket

We offered to leave our keys incase the car proved a problem but they were declined
We wrote our numbers on the ticket and dispalyed it in the window of the car

We were aware the car was parked in an undesignated bay and mentioned it twice to the ladies on reception before leaving the hotel thanking them for this kind gesture
Their reply as long as were not blocking the ramp access there was no issue
Lovley !

Saturday morning we had a brief chat with the manager claire in the hotel having been messed around at breakfast but as we said we coukd see they were busy no problem we were forgotten about
We left the hotel to go for our pre booked tower mid morning tea and attractions

As we were just seated for drinks and food in the tower
I receive a call feom the hotel saying we need to move the car now as their is a guest performing that our car being parked where it is has caused her car to be damaged

I explained that we had just been seated and woukd of had a drink so we personally couldnt move the car but we were happy to return in the hour and a half and let the staff move it
No way were we moving it having had a few drinks
If wed not paid 100 poinds for this attraction of course wed of returned
I sat back down
Lo and behild we then had clare call is leave a voice mail
Which i straight away returned her call
She said eed ben asked three times that morning to move the car !
As i said well you didnt
We spoke at breakfast this morning
The first weve been asked is 10 mins ago
And as explained we couldnt afford to loose the money but wed return and let someone move it ?

Claire apologised and said not to worry
It wasnt our fault wed been given the wrong info friday and that ahed deal with the problem
To continue enjoying our day
At no point did we refuse the car being moved
All we refused was for my partner to move it having had a few glasses of alcohol toasting my mom

We carried on with the day
No other calls were had
So we assumed it was ok
We coukdnt understand why any guest would complain as altho an undesignated space
The gaps were wide all round the car so should they have needed to open their car doors they could of quite easily

On the sunday morning we decided we would pack up the car and go then into breakfast as their was a queue
Imagine the feeling
We walk into the carpark where a gobby lady starts shouting to us
I want a word with you !
She comes over shouting and waving her arms at us
Calling us
all sorts
Followed by her husband daughter and son inaw
Who also joined in the commotion

We were accussed of scratching her jaguar car which we couldnt understand
As there was no way we would of or could of
She said the hotel staff had called me sevaral times and id refused point blank to the car being moved
The daughter then told us we wernt going anywhere until it was sorted
By this time passers by and other guests had congregated watching the commotion
We tried to explain to the family what had happened
And i even showed her my phone and call logs to prove id not had all these said calls
The next thing the male manager comes out to the carpark and he joins in calling us liars and tellkmg is we were wrong to be parked there
Even tho i explained again the friday nignt ....
By this point im now in tears but it continues
We looked at the jag but we couldnt see any marks
However our car had been keyed !
But no we didnt make a fuss !
The daughter then says she wasnt happy as she hadnt been able to park next to her parents car in the space wed used and that shed had to pay for her audi ! To be parked in a carpark

They jumped into their cars having gone back inside with the manager to have their discussion
Leaving us on the carpark with people standing straing at us

Totally bewildered we put our things in the car only to discover not only had our car been keyed
Our tures had been let down and damaged
We went in the hotel to grab a coffee only to be told breakfast was now over

We then had to find a garage to replace the tyres cutting short our break as we just wanted to come home
So wasting more money on the attractions pre booked for sunday

Ive tried to call the hotel leaving so many messages but the staff are rude on reception with exception to margaret in admin

Its been three days now and still i feel upset
That something as simple as being told we could leave our car in an undesignated space could result to this

A totally ruined weekend foe me which was to be a much needed break and a special time for me to remeber my mom

Never again st chads your a disgrace

We managed to get a room here after leaving a hotel that was not nice down the road the guy on reception was professional and friendly helped us got us a room for me husband and two children , the hotel room was lovely clean beds comfortable we had a few hours in the bar at night secure for children with pool table toys in a separate room for children we had a couple of games of bingo the drinks were well priced . We also went for breakfast the next morning all staff friendly fast service breakfast was lovely really pleased would definitely book again .

Myself & my partner have stayed at st chads twice last year, both times we had great rooms. The Rooms were spotless & beds were comfortable. The cleaners comes around every day to change bedding, towels ect. There was plenty of coffee, tea ect in the room when we arrives & there was more that was left in reception area overnight if we needed extra. On both stays we had a lovely stay with decent breakfast & a nice big clean room. The manager & the bar staff were very welcoming & friendly on both occasions we stayed. I love this hotel & won’t stay anywhere else.

* tip - have a sea view room

We have been coming here for 11 years this will be the last! I’m still waiting from Sunday for a call from management which I find unacceptable waiting 5 days for with me chasing everyday for a call back!
So I don’t want to spoil anyone’s fun while away but in the past the music has always gone off between 12-12:30am which is fine this year think again! Friday night was 1:30am and Saturday night it went off at 3:10am with people still in the bar singing and yelling till 5:30am this is not on when children are trying to sleep! So after a lovely 11 year at this hotel this is with us usually bring from 10-30 people on our trip away so you have lost all this custom as well if you still want to speak to me they have all my details on reception after 5 days of trying to get hold of you so please feel free to ring when you get chance.
