checked in around 4.30pm on Monday 5th Nov. girl on check in was very friendly, helpful and professional. our room was very large, with a fantastic view, big comfy bed and very clean. loved the 24hr free tea/coffee etc at reception, great touch. continental breakfast was great, and to be fair every staff member we spoke to were fantastic and couldn't do enough for you. would 100% stay here again.

everything about the hotel is clean but basic. The value for money is good & the close proximity to the 'action' makes it a handy place to stay, parking at west street car park round the corner is good too.

We were left looking for another room as the hotel we had booked was not fit to keep animals in. Met at reception by charming youg lady, who listened to our tale of woe. She found us a room, and made sure we were happy by showing the room to us. This lady saved the weekend for us. The rooms are basic but very clean, breakfast continental
Stlye was fresh and plentiful. The other staff that we came across were polite, friendly and efficient, even when fire alarm went off no panic just very efficient teamwork. The outside does let it down, however not all their fault, major work going on outside this gives a unfair initial opinion. Go inside and look, right by pier centre of seafront numerous pubs in area did not interupt goodnights sleep. Well done and thank you

Room tip: Try for a room with a view

Positives:
Location - great location rifht on the prom close to all amenities.
Comfy beds - we all thought the beds to be comfy. Oh and the towels.. they were quite nice quality.
However that is where the positives end for this horrid hotel...
Negatives:
Room - the room we stayed in was tiny!! The bathroom even smaller.. sat on the toilet and you could hardly move your arms between the wall and the sink! And I'm a petite lady!!
The outside of the building is horrendous.. in serious disrepair.
When you step foot through the doors there is a sewage smell.. very unpleasant.. then you reach the work carpet on the stairs and through to the first floor where there is another strange smell.
The receptionists were ok.. Not exactly warm and inviting however adequate.
The room heating did not work and they temperature dropped quite a bit during the night!
The handle on the bathroom door was very loose, almost coming off and the bathroom fan remained on throughout the night.. very annoying. Also the unpleasant sewage smell was in the bathroom too.
The window was tiny and overlooked some kind of cellur which was littered with kebab boxes..
The breakfast.. good God.. I understand the little place get a busy at peak times.. But there is no excuse for the amount of food all over the floors..
The people working there looked like they would rather not be there however did regularly replenish items.. albeit rock solid chocolate crossiants.
Wrappers and mess all over the sides where u are meant to prepare your food.
It's was vile.
I know it's a budget hotel but seriously.. premier inn are budget and they get it right..
Never again. Can still smell the sewage smell now!

Dear Abbie T

I'm sorry that you were unhappy with several aspects of your stay
I apologise for the poor appearance of the exterior of the building which is scheduled to be repaired and repainted in January
There are lots of road works taking place outside the building at the moment which ma yaccount for the unpleasant smell. My maintenance team have checked the bedroom you stayed I and the stair wells but cannot find any leaks or other issues
I've discussed your comments regarding breakfast with my team

Thanks for the feedback

Kind regards
David
