We booked this hotel for a couple of nights with our 8-year old son. We found it to be very clean and comfortable. When we arrived we were given a choice of 2 rooms and we went for the one at the front of the hotel with a sea view and interconnecting room for our son. It was a much bigger room than you usually get in Blackpool and we didn't have any problems at all. Yes, the shower took its time to get to temperature but that was all.

The hotel is located towards Bispham, almost opposite the boards of illuminations, and there is a tram stop just across the road so access into the centre of Blackpool is easy and not expensive at all - £10 buys you a family ticket which allows 2 adults and 2 children to travel all day using both trams and buses. We took the tram all the way to Bispham one night and then walked back to the hotel beside the boards and it only took about 15 minutes. It is also much quieter at this side of town which was nice.

Breakfast in the morning was lovely - choice of cereals, full English breakfast, rack of toast, orange juice - and was cooked freshly for you.

The hotel was a bit run down, the owner admitted that, but it was much better than expected and a lick of paint and a few minor repairs would make all the difference.

We would happily stay here again.

I took my family here for a short break, if I am honest I had tried a lot of other places first and as it was Halloween weekend everywhere was either full or would only take two night stays. I saw Blue C by doing a street view down the prom, I spoke to Anne who advised she had two rooms free for my family so I booked it. I think its fair to say the rooms arent all that modern but they had everything we needed and the beds where v comfy. My wife is a veggie and hotel bought veggie sausage specially for her breakfast. Service was very good and food nice.

Would I stay there again, Absolutely.

The food was excellent, but judging by the state of the rooms, I would not have liked to look in the kitchen. We had a room with no windows, there was not a shaver light in the bathroom, The toilet had spider web around the bottom. and the shower was just a dribble. under the trouser press which did not work there was a little pile of mud. The bed and linen were very clean. Not a place to return to. Glad to come home.

While Ann was freindly and helpful with a polite service the hotel itself could do with and update and abit of a freshening up. Pleasant enough and ideally located for a overnight stay.

The beds where comfy and clean and the service was polite and helpful
