The Chesterfield Hotel

Reviewed 20 March 2017

This is the second time we have visited this fantastic hotel. It is clean and although 'out of season' it opens at the weekends in March before they open full time for the holiday season.
We arrived and a car space was waiting for us. Midas our dog stole the show. After settling in to our double ensuite room with doggie treats included in the welcome pact we went for a walk in the rain. There were towels available near the front door so our dog could be dried off.
We ordered a take away and Steve was so helpful in providing plates in the bar. Dogs are allowed everywhere in the hotel with no exceptions. The owners are dog lovers and have created a unique niche in the very competitive Bed and Breakfast.market in Blackpool.A few drinks in the very well stocked basement bar with everyone's dog present was a great wind down to a great day
Breakfast for us was outstanding with a comprehensive menu and a delicious breakfast for our dog too (extra). We left in the knowledge that we will return again and again and have absolutely no hesitation recommending The Chesterfiels pet friendly hotel.

Room Tip: book quickly as this hotel gets very busy

Stayed two nights with our springer spaniel. Made to feel very welcome. A no frills b&b but just what we needed. Good location and value for money, only downside I would say is the towels were on the small side and not really adequate for a two night stay. Other than that a lovely warm welcome and would recommend if you have a short stay away with your beloved pet :) Would return as we loved the walks out x

I went to stay at the chesterfield hotel with my dad, grandson & precious my miniature dachshund. Julie & Steve were great nothing was to much trouble for them , they even looked after precious whilst we went out for the afternoon. They wore her out. Both mornings they did a cooked breakfast for her too, talk about big , she never came up for a breath until every bit was gone. Lovely breakfast, just a great place to stay with your beloved pooches. Thank you Julie & Steve. Big love & licks, precious & family. See you soon. Xxxx

I could write an essay at how homely and welcoming the Chesterfield is and how amazing Julie and Steve are! In short - my partner and I loved it but more importantly, our two dogs were settled and relaxed for the whole 4 days. Our dogs were the guests along with the humans and all 4 of us were treated like family! Nothing is too much for any human or animal that stays and you can see why the hotel is still there and cooking on gas 26 yrs later!

We chose a small room and you had everything in there that you needed - the bedding was lovely and soft, treats for the doggies and doggie towels were also provided.

The breakfasts were amazing!!! They really filled you and we never ate again until at least 3/4pm each day we were there - piping hot and plenty of it! Tea, coffee and toast was on tap and Julie was so attentive to you and the dogs also. Steve really knows how to cook a good breakfast!!

We used the dog listening and sitting service which were perfect, both poochies were chilled everytime we came home. The bar is perfect again for the animals and the dogs can literally go wherever they want. In the bar, your room, the dining room for breakfast or the sitting room.

I could go on but in short, the 4 of us will DEFINATELY be back and we will get telling all our doggy friends about The Chesterfield.

Julie and Steve - you two are the best hotel in Blackpool in our eyes - Molly and Harley agree also and we would like to thank you for having us this week! We loved it!!! Thank you and see you v soon!! To anyone reading this review - if you want a stress free, homely, caring hotel where you are your doggies are all looked after as guests then book The Chesterfield!

Carl, Pete, Molly and Harley! x x x
