Hawksmoor Lakeland Guest House is a fine, comfortable and beautiful place.

We stayed here for 2 nights, and I can only say that all was near to perfection: beautiful rooms, wifi / TV,excellent breakfast with friendly staff, on a fine location in between Windermere and Bowness. Owners are both friendly and helpful, we've enjoyed our stay and hope to come back one day to this fine place

We have visited the Lakes many times and have just returned from our stay at The Hawksmoor,It is without doubt the nicest place we have been so far.The location is great, the rooms lovely, the breakfast delicious and the service and attention to detail excellent! We stayed in what is described as one of the ' Smaller' doubles as all other rooms were full and on arrival its clear to see why,We found the room to be ample big enough with lovely fitted furniture, lovely bathroom and comfy bed.The full breakfast was georgeous as was the selection of fresh fruit every morning! There were also cereals and yogurts and even extra items to add to the full breakfast Mmm Mmm!Phillipa,Trevor,Helen and all other members of the team were lovely, really helpful and made you feel very welcome.Thankyou for an excellent stay,We cant wait to come back!

This was our second time staying at Hawksmoor. Both times were fantastic. We stayed in room 11 which was beautiful, very big & modern with very comfy bed. Loved the bathroom, great powerful shower. Breakfast was excellent, loads of choice including fruit cereals and a cooked breakfast. I couldn't fault this b&b in any way, we will be back soon.

A fantastic few days away at the lakes on Windermere.

This guest house is top notch. Our room (11) was LUXURY. An amazing bed and a superb bathroom.
Fantastic features in the room like Ipod docking station, Fridge, Wall mounted TV.

Very relaxing for a couple to get away. It has a huge bath and a stand alone shower. The floor is heated in the bathroom and is professionally finished to a very high standard.

The hosts are very warm and friendly and provided a superb breakfast each morning.

A private car park is great as there is no worry about where to leave your car.

The town centre is a walkable distance but there are a few places to park if you drive down.

The house is in a great central location for South Lakes wildlife park, Hawkshead, Grizedale etc etc.

We would return without a seconds thought!

Room Tip: Room 11 is a LUXURY room to book for a special weekend !

We stayed here for 5 nights in April. Trevor's offer of a cup of tea upon arrival was most welcoming after a long flight and drive. This is a good location to explore the southern lakes district. It is a good 15 minute walk to Bowness to restaurants, with an uphill walk back after dinner. There is ample private parking on the property. The room we had on the top level was bright, spacious and well appointed. The breakfasts were substantial, and they were accommodating to a gluten free diet with sausages and bread. The breakfast staff, especially Sephen was helpful and polite. Philippa and Trevor are most hospitable hosts.

Room Tip: top floor room is a climb but is spacious with a good view
