We went on a lovely sunny day in early April, so of course it was very busy when we got there and the car park was full. So we decided to drive just up the road and parked by the lake and walked to the falls instead of using the car park, which only took us about 10 minutes max. It was a lovely walk round the falls and there were a few different routes you could take. The views of the mountains were incredible and when we went, they all had snow right at the tops :)
It had rained a lot before we went so the falls were very full and fast flowing, which was great! I would recommend that if you go - wear walking boots/shoes with a good grip or wellies as parts were quite muddy. You could spend all day there if you wanted and take a picnic and relax by the river. I would definitely go again :)

Easy(ish) walk with some steps and uneven ground but easy for people of all fitness levels so long as you’re sure of foot. Lots of kiddies were doing the walk as we were here during Easter Holidays.
Lovely sight at the top!

Enjoyed a walk around the falls which are just as lovely each time we visit. Patience is needed when finding a parking space. Suitable shoes/boots recommended. Nice place for a picnic.

£5 to park Minimum in NT car park. walk to falls and back less than an hour. We enjoyed the walk and the view of the waterfall on a damp wet day when it was in full force. Well maintained path but steep in places would not be suitable for some.

Would highly recommend this walk. Walk up on the left the whole way to the top falls and then down the opoosite side. It was stunning in the cold, with icicles on the falls!
