A lovely comfortable place to stay, which makes the holiday sooooo much easier if you have someone who is less able bodied. The shower room was excellent and easy to use and there is so much space in the property I'm sure it's a tardis!
Amy's Care care facilities are brilliant too with trips out to all sorts of places I couldn't have managed to take my husband on my own. I will and have told everyone we know who's in my situation, all about it.
We really enjoyed our stay at the chapel! It was beautifully clean, well equipped for the disabled and pet-friendly!
We'll be back!
We have just returned from THE most relaxing Spring break at The Old Chapel, what a lovely property in a fab location and SO well thought out. We have struggled as a family for many, many years to find nice accommodation in The Lakes that is wheelchair accessible and The Old Chapel has now ticked ALL the right boxes! We've had such a great family holiday (our little dog has loved his walks around the lovely village of Ireby!) that we are frantically looking at the calendar to return.
Ireby itself is a great little village as a base and we found the locals to be friendly and chatty too! The local pubs are spot-on and we had great food at The Snooty Fox about a mile away in Uldale, and Maes Tearoom in the same village.
The Log Burner in the Living Room was a great feature and the lovely garden too...The Old Chapel was everything we could have wished for AND MORE.
Well Done Rebecca and Fraser....just fabulous.
The Old Chapel is a perfect base from which to explore the Lake District. Well-appointed and comfortable, it was a real home-from-home with the added bonus of a wood-burner! The accommodation was ideally suited to our party of four (one with restricted mobility) and the extra touches such as fresh flowers and the cake on our arrival were much appreciated. The only problem we experienced was with the wi-fi but Rebecca was soon able to sort it out. Thank you for a wonderful week!
