“very comfortable, spacious accommodation in beautiful surroundings”
Reviewed 9 July 2016 for a stay in June 2016

We thoroughly enjoyed our week's stay and were very impressed with the location, the house, the garden and the facilities. The house is well equipped with everything needed for a comfortable stay; the kitchen is particularly good and with the huge dining table adjacent to the kitchen we were happy to 'eat in' almost every evening. Having two separate lounges, each with a good-size tv, is a great advantage; the main lounge is spacious enough for some watching tv and others just sitting reading and relaxing. We enjoyed using the canoes and having the private jetty is just perfect. The dogs loved it as well!

“Wonderfully equipped”
Reviewed 4 July 2016 for a stay in June 2016

We stayed with young, middle aged and older adults for a family week in the Lakes. Perfect rental for this type of group- or larger group of friends. The houses is very comfortable with excellently equipped kitchen, great showers and everything you could need including canoes and rowing boat. Two living rooms accommodate varied entertainment needs (European soccer versus Wimbledon versus BBC news....). Lots of books/games available too if desired.
Very peaceful location, lovely garden, delightful sun house for hanging out.
Recommend a paddle down Coniston Lake to Coniston, stop at the Bluebird cafe and paddle back.
The owner was very helpful and easily reached if needed. Would highly recommend this beautifully located house in the Lake District.
Now if we could just do something about the rain....

“Excellent location and large, well appointed property.”
Reviewed 1 July 2016 for a stay in June 2016

We had a wonderful week with 4 generations of the family. Very comfortable, spacious bedrooms, living area, dining area and bathrooms. As much kitchen equipment as I have in my own kitchen and a large dining table that seated all 14 of us comfortably. It was really useful to have the "drying room" area for wet coats and boots. The gardens are gorgeous and well looked after. We sat and relaxed by the beck, took many strolls with the dogs down the gardens to the field and then the lakeside. Views from the lakeside were wonderful. It was well worth hiring a canoe and rowing boat from the house - great fun paddling to "Wild Cat Island" and views from the middle of the lake were stunning!

“Fabulous house in great location and lots of bathrooms”
Reviewed 21 June 2016 for a stay in June 2016

Fabulous house in a great location. There is plenty of space to 'spread out' with a wonderful 'snug' , large lounge and summer house. We loved that the house had plenty of bathrooms. Each bedroom either had an ensuite, shower room or bathroom allocated to them as with 89 year old great granny down to a 3 year old and baby this is essential and kept everyone happy! The canoe was worth hiring as it was good fun for everyone. We enjoyed the house and location so much that we have already booked for next year. Daphne is a caring, helpful lady. Thank you so much.

“An excellent holiday house, fully equipped for a family holiday.”
Reviewed 4 May 2016 for a stay in April 2016

This property is enhanced by its situation close to Lake Coniston. It has extensive grounds, a wonderful summer house ( very cosy) , and is comfortable in every aspect. We loved the views, the plentiful supply of dishes/ pots and pans etc. and large dining table which allows extended family to eat sociably together.
Our only regret was the weather which was not that kind - rain, hail ,sleet and snow in late April!!
