“A perfect cosy cottge with loads of character and homely touches”
Reviewed 14 March 2016 for a stay in March 2016

We had three very lovely nights in this beautiful cottage, we were greeted with home made cupcakes and a bottle of wine. The cottage is spotlessly clean and has so many lovely homely touches.
The log burner is a lovely addition to the cottage- ensuring that you will not feel cold- the underfloor heating is a bonus, all the of the fixtures and fittings are of the highest standards.
The beds are so comfortable, it really has been a real treat staying here, It is somewhere to look forward to going to after a long day walking and taking in the beautiful sights of the lake district, minutes away from Loweswater and Buttermere.
We would recommend to everybody and we will definitely be back x

“Beautifully renovated luxurious cottage with easy access to western lakes”
Reviewed 9 February 2016 for a stay in February 2016

This was our second visit to The Granary and we were so pleased to return. The cottage is lovely, one of the nicest cottages we have rented, really comfortable and warm and very well equipped. We stayed with our two teenage boys (13 and 15), who enjoyed watching some of the many films on the 3D TV. The cottage has been finished to a very high standard with a lovely bathroom and luxurious bath that we really appreciated after a day walking on the fells. The owners made us feel very at home, with lots of personal touches including yummy malteaser cake on our arrival. There is loads to do in this area, it is much quieter than some parts of the Lakes in the south with beautiful lakeland walks on the doorstep, great mountain biking at Whinlatter forest just 10 minutes away.where you can hire bikes and also do the "Go Ape" tree experience. We had a great time at The Granary and plan to return.

“Comfy”
Reviewed 17 January 2016 for a stay in January 2016

We stayed here in cold rainy January, but was a welcome break in such a warm and cosy cottage! Loved all the luxurious and quaint details, like the big freestanding bath, the purple lights in the bathroom!, the massive shower, the big super comfy beds, underfloor heating, cinematic surround sound TV, log fire, the wooden beams, the cute doors.... Was lovely to go out in the day to nearby Buttermere and Loweswater (so beautiful!), and come back and chill out in the warmth :) the kitchen is well equipped with everything, so we cooked all our meals! All very thought-through and set up. Games and DVDs there too. Also welcomed with some cupcakes and wine :)
Defo recommend to anyone wanting a bit of luxury in the Lakes!

We had a fantastic time at The Granary on our honeymoon. The cottage is beautifully presented and the owners could not have been more welcoming. Highly recommend staying here.

“A gorgeous luxury property close to breathtaking scenery.”
Reviewed 11 November 2015 for a stay in August 2015

We stayed at the wonderful Granary Escape in August and had an absolutely fantastic time! Myself, my husband and two kids (aged 10 and 13) all loved the property. It was both luxurious and cosy and the attention to detail was very impressive, which included home baked cakes on arrival! The interior was super stylish and included a very swish bathroom with freestanding bath and incredible shower. The beds were comfy, the kitchen well equipped and everything was spotlessly clean. In addition Amanda the owner was so friendly and helpful, offering suggestions for places to visit and possible activities. The Granary Escape is a fabulous place and I can't wait to go back.
