The gallery was recommended by a friend and I'm glad they did! It was beautiful and the art was stunning. It was a relaxed atmosphere and the volunteers and staff were very welcoming and helpful. The food in the cafe is amazing too!

We visited the gallery during Hull's 'City of culture celebrations' whilst on our holiday on the East Yorkshire coast. This was a superb gallery (recently renovated) that had a surprisingly eclectic range of art - from paintings to sculpture to photography. Our hour there was a most enjoyable experience, and refreshing in terms of the works on show - from old to new. The photography on display was superb and far-ranging in its content and choice of photographers. The shop and cafe/restaurant were very pleasant indeed and ideal for a break between galleries. This is a truly nice place to visit.

Another apparently 'money no object' Council museum to a really high standard. Plenty for the serious art appreciator as those with a passing interest.

Although small, this Hull favourite has a surprising number of important art works, ranging from 18th century to present day - both British, European & American. Well laid out with plenty of space to avoid jostling for a good view. And like all Hull's museums, it's free!

An amazing venue. A conference room annexed to the Main art gallery in the centre of Hull.

Probably an unknown gem of a building as well as quite a collection too.

Catering was good and IT support probably the best I’ve experienced for a while.
