We came yesterday for Mother's Day, have to start by saying the food was nice for a carvery. We all enjoyed the food. My only gripe was the price. Drinks were overpriced and the deserts and kids prices were totally overpriced. We were all shocked when we got the bill. Shame as we just won't come back.

Thank Marcus H

Overpriced, drinks were at the end of the barrel. Flat coke so had to buy more expensive coke bottles!! Beer was off and it was a big effort for them to change the barrel!

Found this Pub by chance via the internet so we went there for Sunday lunch, the staff were all very friendly and made up a nice table in the Bar area as we had our Dog with us . The Sunday roast was a Cavery with a choice of 4 meats and some very nice Veg & crispy potatoes. We would deffo go back again, it's in a nice little village and only 5 mins Drive to the Seaside

Just a word of warning i looked at this pub on there website £8.95!sunday carvery . So me & my family jumped into our car & drove out to this place in the little village of Monkton for the sunday carvery on our arrival very pleasent welcome but the place really did need a lick of paint & really did need to be brought back to the 2016 alot of up dateing was clearly needed . We was shown to our table in resturant area the waitress asked if we would like any drinks i asked if they had a wine list but no wine list she came back 15 minutes later with a piece of paper with the wines that they did no prices no information on the wine so anyway we decided on a bottle i did feel the waitress just couldn't be bothered in anyway to help . We went up to the meat & vegs to pick our choices once again the service was bad . The meat & veg looked good but my gammon was slightly under cooked we did finsh our meal & asked if we wanted puddings but no menu or board was offered to us .we asked for the bill and we was charged £10.95 for our carvery , we questioned the bill the answer was we haven't updated our website that is false advertising & is wrong to do so . We will not be returning to this pub .
