“Great location, friendly staff.”

The Millers Arms is in a great place to sightsee in Canterbury. A few mins walk from the cathedral and the Marlowe theatre. Parking is available opposite in a public car park & the hotel do a 24-hr parking voucher. Staff were friendly - which as a solo traveller makes a big difference - and breakfast was very good. Downstairs has been recently redecorated and looks great, the upstairs rooms are next on the list for a revamp as they are a little tired. However, the rooms were clean, well provided and stocked with complimentary toiletries & tea/coffee tray. If you're a light sleeper you may be distracted by the sound of the mill stream outside the front which has a little weir but I wasn't bothered by it. If I was coming back to Canterbury I would stay here again.

The Miller's Arms offers perfect pub accommodation just a few minutes easy walk from Canterbury city centre and provided excellent value for money relative to it's location. Breakfast was great. Would stay here again.

Difficult this as really want to give a good review. I had fond recollections of the Millers Arms from college days and rather than booking a Canterbury hotel thought would be good base for short visit. I liked the idea of staying over a pub, especially one with such good memories, and it was as I remembered but even better, lovely location and now spruced up, attractive bar areas. Rooms were shabby-chic but only what was expected. I had a twin room with big windows overlooking the landscaped area and river outside, which I was delighted with. But service and lunch on arrival were not good, both my mother (who was staying in a different hotel), and I struggled with lunch and then there was a mix up with check in - as a new member of staff took me to room which wasn't ready. Evening much better. Felt like a lovely cosy Kentish pub. Angela couldn't have made me feel more welcome and I am sorry for her that this review isn't 5/5. I was out all the following day but when returned it was as if the room had been partly cleaned. Bed made but not much else had been touched, genuinely a bit baffling. Breakfast again, the following day couldn't have been better. So, a mixed review...I do recommend it as a lovely place to stay but personally was let down by bad service on the first lunch time and room cleaning issue. So saying if we were to organise a college reunion I would recommend the Millers Arms, I just hope they can iron out the issues that let this particular visit down.

Room Tip: It's the weir outside the front of the hotel rather than pub noise that you have to get used to...

We stayed at this bed and breakfast pub in June 2012. The room was clean and we had a big bathroom. The bed was really comfortable. Breakfast was surprisingly varied, and made to order.
We left a shirt behind in our bedroom, and the manager Angela couldn't have been more helpful in sending it to us in France, and would not hear of payment! Would definately stay here again.
We also loved Canterbury!
