“Very enjoyable stay.”

My main aim for booking a few days at this property was to enjoy a few days in the peace and comfort of the Gloucestershire country. I certainly achieved this. The accommodation consisted of a self contained flat, comprising a sitting room, bedroom and bathroom. It was very clean and comfortable, with a good view of the back garden, where chickens were kept. Rebecca, the landlady put herself out to ensure my stay was enjoyable and provided excellent breakfasts, which set me up for the day ahead.
Shipton Moynes is a small village, and public transport is almost non existent. Some people might find this a problem, but I was fully aware of this, and enjoyed the opportunity to explore the beautiful surrounding country. There is a very good pub next to Rose Cottage, which serves a wide range of food, and drinks. It is also a great place to enjoy the atmosphere of a country village.
Visitors should be aware that this is a remote location, and mobile telephone signals are not too good, and don't expect superfast broadband. However, wi-fi is available in the cottage, and at the next door pub.
I look forward to a further visit, or visits to this property, which I am sure will be equally enjoyable.

“Charming, friendly, beautiful area”
Reviewed 6 August 2014 for a stay in July 2014

What a beautiful discovery in the middle of the Cotswolds. We had a great stay for three nights. The Cottage is charming, clean and with a big bathroom and living area going out to a lovely garden far more than a bed with breakfast. With Rebecca a very kind and helpful person this stay was our favorite in England.

“Great cosy cottage, fully recommend!”
Reviewed 25 May 2014 for a stay in May 2014

We fully recommend this cottage to anybody. We stayed one night & had a lovely relaxing stay. Rebecca the landlady was fantastic and couldn't be anymore helpful & friendly. The breakfast was very tasty & involved eggs straight from the garden where chickens are kept. The cottage is spacious & the extra sitting room is a real bonus giving it a real feeling that you have rented a whole cottage.

“Charming and quaint coupled with good solid hospitality, we were made to feel more like family than guests”
Reviewed 6 May 2014 for a stay in May 2014

We had a fantastic experience at Rose Cottage, the facilities were exactly as described coupled with truly exceptional hospitality. The property is ideally located for exploring the Southern Cotswold areas. This one is well worth a visit.

“You'll love this!”
Reviewed 13 September 2013 for a stay in August 2013

Rose Cottage is full of character. With three separate rooms (bedroom, garden room and bathroom/W.C.) you will have plenty of space and comfort. All at a bargain price.

The immediate environment is stunning; miles of lanes and footpaths for walking/cycling and a Cotswold landscape to take your breath away. A few doors along is the 'Cat and Custard Pot', serving huge portions of excellent food from an uncomplicated menu. They have several interesting beers, too.

Further afield, but just a short drive away, you have main tourist centres; Tetbury, Cirencester and Bath, to name but a few.

To cap it all there is Rebecca, who is the most welcoming, helpful and generally delightful host you could possibly wish for.
