we have stayed at Stow Lodge numerous times over the years and, while we now have a home in Stow, we still drop in for a tea and an afternoon.

It is ideally located on The Square in Stow and has free parking for guests. The rooms are smallish but comfortable. The breakfast is superb and the residents' bar is a must visit.

Room Tip: The stairs are a bit of a challenge unless you are a billygoat. Otherwise, it is quite easy access.

We have had dinner in the excellent restaurant, as a non-resident, at Stow Lodge and now we have been back to stay. This is a family run, traditional hotel and a very pleasant change from the pubs with 'boutique' bedrooms. Everything was first class. Lovely room with a very comfortable bed - spotlessly clean, as was the whole hotel. A spacious residents lounge meant you didn't have to sit in your room if back early and there were real log fires in the lounge and bar. You can eat in the restaurant or bar - excellent food and a wide variety of choices on the menus. The breakfasts were outstanding. The staff were all very friendly and also very professional. We stayed for three nights as a pre-Christmas break - we will be back next December, if not before.

Everything about the hotel gets 10/10 - service rooms and cuisine. We chose it as we wanted a pre Xmas break near home. The Cotswolds are favourites of ours and the location of this hotel is perfect as you can step out into the square easily. Would definitely recommend. Top marks team

Room Tip: Enjoy tea by the log fire - and snooze- as we did. Bliss.

This family-run hotel retains a traditional old world charm with modern conveniences. The staff are very friendly, efficient and helpful. It is clean, lovely and warm in the winter with log fires, and the food is excellent

Stayed in a room in the coach house which was big and comfy. The breakfast is cooked to order and very good. The evening meal was also very good. The rooms have everything you need and the hotel has good parking with restaurants and pubs in walking distance.

The real fire in the lounge was excellent.

Room Tip: All were good and quiet
