We spent 3 nights in the hotel. Good location for the travellng about the Cotswolds.
Moreton -in- Marsh nice town, plenty of alterantives if you don't want to eat in the hotel.
But the food in the hotel is terrific, breakfast excellent and plenty of it to set you up for the day. evening meals just as good, for meat eaters you can get the meat they use from the butchers just up the street

£150 a night was an excessive price for this hotel. We had a double room on the side of the car park. It's was clean however it was showing it's age, some of the decor was tatty and dated. The smoking area was outside our room, the windows were open when we
arrived so it stank
£80 would have been an acceptable price, taking into account the great location.
I have stayed in much nicer hotels for a lot less than we paid to stay here!
The car park is very small so it's pot luck getting a space.
Breakfast was very good, quality ingredients and plenty of it.

Room Tip: Avoid the rooms around the car park/ smoking area.

Centrally located and easy walking distance to restaurants, shops, and the train station. The room was decent, with a large bathroom. We ate in the restaurant downstairs and it was great. Breakfast in the morning was also good, with a buffet as well as an a la carte menu.

We spent 4 nights in this hotel as a base for exploring the Cotswolds for which it is well suited. The first thing to say is that the breakfasts and restaurant food is first class. My tip is to book the dinner, bed and breakfast rate, it is really good value. The staff are all very friendly and helpful. We stayed in one of the courtyard suites which although very comfortable could do with some updating. This includes the bathroom. The other issue we bought to staff's attention is that the outside guttering could also do with cleaning out as when it rained water poured over them.
However our overall experience was very positive. Moreton in Marsh is a really nice town and another tip is to visit on a Tuesday when the very impressive weekly market takes place. Great for picking up all sorts of bargains.

Room Tip: Go for number 30. has own little garden and patio table/chairs

We stayed in the back, in the newer section. We were very pleased with the room. It was spacious and clean. We had two breakfasts and one dinner there, and the food was great. Our Slovakian waitress was cheerful and efficient. We were very pleased.
The pump was clean and the staff and locals were friendly. We had a short lunch there., Very happy with it.
Well behaved dogs were welcomed there, which was fine with us, since we missed our own dogs.
