What an amazing venue for a winter wedding! My husband and I got married here just before Christmas and we are still buzzing from what an incredible day we had. The place was already decked out beautifully for Christmas and looked amazing, even before we started with our decorations!
The hotel's wedding planner, Tom, the banqueting manager Ben and all the staff working on the day of the wedding, as well as the hotel staff, were fantastic and couldn't do enough for us. We were so impressed at how everything ran so smoothly on the day, thanks to Tom, Ben and their colleagues. Lots of our guests commented on the excellent service and the incredible food. Quite a few of them stayed overnight in the hotel and loved the rooms and the luxury breakfast the next morning.
We stayed in the Apple Cottage which is a gorgeous suite at the bottom of the garden with its own hot tub! It was the perfect place for me to get ready with the girls on the day of the wedding and it felt very special to walk through the garden with them and my dad to the room where we were getting married.
We had a ceilidh band play after our wedding breakfast and then a DJ played for the last couple of hours. The DJ was part of the wedding package and he was an amazing asset - great fun and played the best music!
Tom worked so hard to make our day the best day ever and he achieved it! I can't speak more highly of this venue and we are already looking forward to our next stay, an anniversary trip perhaps!

We stayed here for three nights over Christmas and could thoroughly recommend it. It is a lovely old building, very centrally situated and with beautiful gardens, The food was excellent, couldn't be faulted and the staff were very friendly and attentive. The only downside we found was a lack of atmosphere in the dining room, especially on Christmas Day. Because all the meals are staggered, with several different sittings and there are two dining areas there were only a few tables occupied at once so didn't make for a very festiye air.
Also, it would have been helpful on Christmas Eve to have had some activity in the bar/library to encourage guests to mix more-maybe a quiz or as one of the other Cotswold Hotels had, some carol singers. I don't think I heard any Christmas music at all.
There was an Activity pack provided with an optional Treasure Hunt which was fun, but who won it? There was no notification on reception.
Overall it was a lovely break and the hotel seems well run by a very "hands on" General Manager

Our son and now daughter in law arranged their wedding to take place in this lovely Cotswold hotel. We stayed in a nearby one but the wedding ceremony and breakfast were held here. The registrar-run marriage was professional but aimable and any anxieties and nerves were quickly dispersed by not only the professionals taking the ceremony but also by the excellent banqueting managers and staff who organised the house-keeping, movement of guests from one arena to the next with extraordinary sense of timing and decorum.

The hotel is a medieval delight, the grounds superb and very photogenic and there is a beautiful and well-appointed cottage in the garden for the bride to hide away from her groom the night before. The banquet was exceptional; venue, food, wine, service - all superb. I thoroughly recommend those looking for a romantic and efficient venue for a wedding.

We had a lovely time at The Manor House Hotel to celebrate and see in the New Year. The staff were very attentive and friendly, even down to knowing our names when we went in to the bar for lunch and the general manager taking the time to introduce himself to us. The food was lovely and the rooms were tastefully decorated, especially the accessible room for my parents on the ground floor with a wet room. Moreton-in-Marsh is a lovely village with lots of places to eat but we didn't try these because we ate in-house. We hope to return soon.

Room Tip: Lovely accessible room on the ground floor with a wet room.

My family has been having our annual get together at the Manor House for a number of years now and I thought it was worth doing a review this year. The Manor has had its ups and downs but I will say it is currently on a strong high at the minute. The Christmas meal was significantly improved from what we have seen previously and the portions were huge! The only issue was the generally very slow service. We were a big table of around 14 but due to this enough staff should be laid on to keep up with us. An additional member of staff could easily have been paid for by the extra drinks we would have ordered but simply couldn't get served. Overall though the manor is a very lovely hotel with some wonderful spaces, the library is particularity pleasant. I would highly recommend for cosy lunches or fine dinners.
