Description: The Tavern started with a simple mission...to deliver delicious food at reasonable prices. Our mission remains the same. We bring you favourites from the old along with gobsmackingly delicious burgers, sinful shakes laced with bourbon and bespoke ice cream sundaes where you can pick the flavour, toppings and sauces. What's new is you can eat at any time from midday to midnight. Expect homemade, artisan burgers, made with local dry aged beef on Stokes Marsh Farm from Aberdeen Angus cross Hereford cows and a whole load of twists and classics like mac n cheese, sinful shakes and bespoke ice cream sundaes.

I went to the Tavern with my parents on the 29th for a belated mother’s day celebration. We were told at arrival that they were just relaying the table so we got a drink at a bar. The barmen I believe was called you was extremely knowledgable as my dad is fussy when it comes to whiskey. He recommended a local new Cotswold which is something he wouldn’t go for and ended up having several. So a fantastic start. My mother used to be a food teacher and is an excellent but she said her goats shank was probably the best thing she’s ever eaten. We shared the artichoke squid scotch egg and snails all of which I could write a review about all by themselves really spectacular dishes. Myself and my father are boring and always have steak however we both went for the onglet as it was recommended by our waiter Finlay who was definitely flirting with my mom and myself which was quite cheeky but we loved it. Must say good looking lads at the tavern rob wasn’t bad as well. Enough waffling onto desserts. We had a gorgeous tiramisu and a cheese board between us. Could eat several of them simply the best evening I have had company was great staff were fantastic and the food divine. Already booked in for my birthday in May.

A great little restaurant/bar just a few minutes walk from the centre of Cheltenham. A modern british menu with an american twist the food was well cooked, good portion sizes and tasty.

We got good service at the end of what looked like it had been a busy bank holiday lunch service - we weren't rushed despite arriving at 3pm.

The craft beer choice was good - I was driving so didn't try the wine but the choice looked good. A lovely relaxed dining spot from the folk at the Lucky Onion Group

If your looking for a different but ultimately mind blowing dining experience, then the Lucky Onions 'Tavern' is the place for you. Quirky and vibrant, this place is packed full of character and has a refreshing upbeat vibe which provides a lovely experience weather eating or just popping in for a drink. The food prepared by head chef James and his talented entourage is second to none. There is a large variety so even the most fussiest of eaters will go home satisfied. Their is a selection of six different steaks with a variety of accompanying sauces or if you're looking for something a bit more unique the 'kid goat shank' is highly recommendable. The chefs like to get creative up there and have put there own unique spin on a classic sticky toffee pudding which is simply to die for should you have the room. The team are fantastic and very friendly. if you're looking for somewhere new in town, give the tavern a try. you wont look back!

The Tavern in Royal Well, Cheltenham provides a lively atmosphere and great food. Maybe we were unlucky with our server but a knowledge of the menu and wine list would have been a welcome addition to the experience.
