“Quaint little cottage in a charming location”

Had a great 3 day break with friends at this lovely cottage. It was very cosy and comfortable with a good sized bathroom, soft towels and good bed linen. Floors upstairs a little uneven but it all adds to the charm! Ideal location close to the river and all amenities. Some lovely places to eat and nice walks. What more can you want? If I was going to be really picky a few logs for the stove would have been nice but we managed to buy some from the village shop.

It was a lovely stay at the cottage. Close to all amenities in a wonderful location near the river. The cottage was very homey and resembled a cottage that you read about in an Enid Blyton story. The owner was extremely helpful and helped us with anything that we needed. She even decorated the cottage for Christmas. Having access to the internet and a washing machine was a plus too. The stay was a very pleasant one and we look forward to stay here again. Would highly recommend.

Well Cottage offers a wonderful combination of traditional character, fantastic location, and plenty of creature comforts. I spent a week in the cottage, enjoying real fires in the beautiful old inglenook fireplace, admiring the windows with stone mullions, and sleeping soundly in a very comfortable bed. The cottage is very close to the River Windrush, and it was fun to watch children wading in their rubber boots. Bourton-on-the-Water is a delightful village with good shops and a number of eateries offering both regular and gluten-free menus. Both the village (which can be easily reached by public transportation) and the cottage have everything one could need. The owners were friendly and helpful. I hope to stay again next time I visit the UK.

“Charming & idealic cottage”
Reviewed 30 October 2015 for a stay in October 2015

Cottage lived up to the photos. Had the wow factor as you walked into it.
Well maintained & clean. Very cosy & homely feel, especially when sitting beside the blazing log fire. The wonky ceilings and floors added to the character.
Bathroom is downstairs but stairs are quite easy to get up and down so not a problem.
Cottage is just a few minutes walk from the busy main street / river but cottage location is very quiet, with only the occasional passer-by. Cottage got lots of approving glances from anyone passing by.
Would come again if we get the chance.

“Charming”

We stayed for the weekend with our friends to celebrate our joint 25th wedding anniversaries.(lovely flowers and card from Dawn the owner) Couldn't have picked a more romantic little cottage oozing all the chocolate box charm you could want. From slanted floors to low beams. Spent a good few hours in front of the log burning fire. Lovely quite location as no traffic passing through. Only downside is the numerous oriental tourists standing outside the lounge window taking photos of the cottage with it's well as the feature - still that's what you get for selecting the most prettiest cottage in the village !!!! (not really a problem) x would love to stay again but longer next time
