“Gorgeous apartment, lovely stay!”
Reviewed 11 April 2014 for a stay in October 2013

The pictures are great but the apartment is even better. The view is really special and we loved the sun streaming in through the huge windows. The apartment feels really spacious and light. We have a disabled 5 year old and struggle in small/overcrowded apartments, this was perfect for him. The shower in the bathroom was also well worth the stay alone. We enjoyed this apartment so much we are about to book again for some summer sun :)

“Lovely place with amazing views”
Reviewed 19 November 2013 for a stay in November 2013

Having lived in Hastings years ago, I knew the area but was very happily surprised by this place! The pictures looked great on Tripadvisor, but nothing compares to the moment you walk through the door and experience the huge Victorian ceilings and massive windows that show the sea and (sadly burnt down) pier. The part that really surprised me though, was just how far back the flat went – it really is like a tardis. It’s close enough to town – 5 minutes walk roughly – and close enough to St Leonards – 10 minutes to the marina – so it meets the location needs. There is underground parking nearby that costs £2.2 for 24hrs; living in Brighton I couldn't quite believe how cheap that was!
Clare’s photography on the wall was very impressive and overall the layout of the place was fantastic. My two year old son loved the open floor space and was running around everywhere. The toys they had did cover a wide age range (from babies to toddlers), but he was happy with the alphabet foam tiles – thank you for providing those! Additionally there were a nice selection of DVD's that would satisfy most people and entertain the kids too. The bathroom had a great stock of towels, bath toys (and mats) and toiletries.
I hope one day they will get the garden worked on, as it looked like a good sized space that I’m sure would be amazing to use on the warmer days. I would definitely stay here again.

“Cosy”
Reviewed 22 October 2013 for a stay in October 2013

Spent two days here with my 21 year old daughter. View sure has the wow factor! Underfloor heating was brilliant. Apartment very spacious, bigger than in picture. Kitchen had all the mod cons, tv & dvd with fab surround sound. Wet Room lovely with nice power shower. Only a five minute walk from the town, little treck to car park at the back of apartment but very cheap! Lock on main front door tricky and also door to apartment took some getting used to. Super apartment on the whole and would not hesitate to rebook again, actually didnt want to leave!

Thanks for great review - I will take a look at the front door - it sometimes suffers from the salty air getting into the lock!

“Very pleasant accommodations ...”
Reviewed 23 September 2013 for a stay in September 2013

... but a couple details are missing from descriptions and reviews. What is described as a "mezzanine" bedroom is actually a low-ceiling loft that is big enough to fit only a double mattress on the floor and a tiny end table. The loft, accessible via a small set of stairs (thankfully, not a ladder!), is located within a space that really is more appropriately described as a large dressing room. Additionally, the bathroom is located at the other end of the very long condo. This layout may be fine for younger and able-bodied guests, but it could prove trying for anyone with accessibility issues or who is of an age when multiple night-time trips to the bathroom are the routine. (Yes, you can move to the foldout couch, but the loft bed is far more comfortable.) Additionally, all the heat rises into the loft -- a fact that created one restless night for us. No AC to help; just an electric fan. I hasten to say that we managed well -- we're veteran travelers, so this fell into the category of "hiccup," not "disaster." We otherwise enjoyed our stay, and the price was certainly right. Still, I believe anyone considering this accommodation needs to be privvy to all the particulars. By the way, the fully equipped kitchen is no exaggeration, and the location allows easy hops to such nearby destinations as Brighton, Dover, and Canterbury. One other caveat: If you don't use the pass to park in front of the condo (and we were discouraged from doing so since they seemed to have only so many passes), the closest available parking requires a hike up a steep hill. Again, it's a detail that travelers less able-bodied will need to know.

Just to clarify a couple of points : The bedroom is a split level room with a sleeping area upstairs & storage, dressing area etc downstairs. The bed is a standard double mattress on a low level base - not on the floor as stated here. There is a large blanket box at the foot of the bed and a small drawer set next to the bed on one side. The upper level has a balcony over rest of the room with a view out of the 3m high window onto the sea.The upstairs has an electric fan but also a large opening in the wall to the main room to provide ventilation. This has a shutter over it so may not have been discovered!
The walk to the bathroom is 20m maximum.
There is alternative parking along the seafront and also in nearby Warrior Square - all without the need to go uphill!

“Book You Will Not Be Disappointed!”
Reviewed 25 June 2013 for a stay in June 2013

My partner and I stayed at 48 Eversfield Place for a weekend in June 2013, we were met by Gail, who gave us a quick tour and some tips on where to eat, visit, etc Thanks the fish and chips were looovely
The sea view from the apartment is absolutely gorgeous and is a pleasure to wake up to in the morning.
The apartment is well stocked with everything you could need and the location is an added bonus. We parked the car up for the weekend and walked or took the bus everywhere we needed to go.
We spent an afternoon in Hastings Old Town, eating far too many sweets as there are old fashioned sweet shops aplenty. We also poked around the antique, bric-a-brac shops, exclaiming "do you remember those?"
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and we would book again in a heartbeat!!
