“Top Boutique Hotel in the World”
Reviewed 4 September 2012

This hotel will not disappoint. Within shouting distance of promenade, walking distance of the train station, walking distance of all the sights and best of all within crawling distance of excellent restaurants and bars!!!! The staff are great fun and the manager keeps a well run, relaxing hotel. We stayed in the Orinoco and would highly recommend. The bar/lounge area on the ground floor is superb to wind down in after a hard day taking in the sights and shopping in Brighton. We we attending a few events at London 2012 and really enjoyed the escape back to Brighton. Do pre book train journeys if planning popping into London. Mr Bulgaria, Ms Czech Republic and Ms UK (staff) were really helpful along with all the others, you will have a "blast" or "quiet time" in this hotel, it caters for all tastes. Some of the recommendations to eat in were the Melrose Fish & Chips cafe/restaurant, Drakes for fine dining, and Casalingo Italian restaurant all within view of the sea!!! Thank you Hotel Una for complimenting our trip of a lifetime at the Brighton/London Olympics. Mark & Tracy

Room Tip: Orinoco, will please all travellers who want a little modern luxury!!

WOW... We've just returned from a night at Una, Brighton. I review loads of places and am VERY fair. This place is honestly in the top 2 or 3 Hotels i've every stayed in. We booked 'Quail', the best room in the place. I say room but it was 4 rooms. The hotel is just back from the sea front, opposite the old pier in a lovely square. When you arrive it doesn't look that impressive, atractive house but not flash. Reception is tiny but the staff so friendly. The bar is a lovely place to be, great atmosphere and huge range of beers, ciders, cocktails etc and not expensive. Parking is underground in the NCP which initially scared the pants off me as Brighton Parking is not cheap but it was safe, secure, well lit, 2 min walk from the hotel and £12.50 for 24Hrs which I think is pretty cheap. We were on the 3rd and 4th floor! The lift is tiny and very funky. The room (suite) was stunning. Huge dining table in one room with a small bar / coffee counter, next door was a good size lounge with corner leather sofa and TV, off this was a shower and bath room. Upstairs was the bedroom with roof light, huge, comfy bed, aircon and the bath but next door to this was the 'Cinema' Yep - 2 electrically reclining leather chairs, a Huge selection of DVD's and Blue Ray disks, a full wall size projection screen and GREAT sound. Fantastic. Breakfast was served in the room at no extra charge (eggs Benedict for me, Full english for the good lady) which was very good and you have your own coffee machine and 'illy' coffee. Price wise, not cheap, but well worth it. We love Brighton and ate at Chilli Pickle indian restaurant. It was also Pride weekend so hugely busy but great fun. I understand that they have 19 rooms, all different and, by the looks of their website, all very different and unusual. Some have Juccuzi's and Saunas but we've fallen in love with 'Quail' and will be booking a 2 nighter soon so I can watch some great movies in our own little cinema. Thanks everyone at Una - loved it...

Room Tip: Look at the pictures online but choose Quail if you want the best

A great find - thanks tripadvisor. Amazing suite - The Danube - Huge Soaker tub. Great view. Coco and Paul were great hosts. Going beyond the call of duty to arrange other hotel for us etc. Very good breakfast - best we had in UK. Minimal issue : on arrival , exterior was being painted. Staff apologized for inconvenience/windows needed cleaning. Not a big deal at all.

Really enjoyed our stay. Lovely hotel, great staff. A special thanks goes to Ichmal, (sorry for the incorrect spelling) the night porter. As well as Coco and Harriet.

Great stay in beautiful surroundings.

I can thoroughly recommend this hotel.
