We have just returned home after a wonderful stay at The Twenty One & are experiencing withdrawal symptoms! We must both be half a stone heavier than when we arrived. What am I going to find to say that has not been said already???
Matt & Andy have created a beautiful, stylish & immaculate hotel; it is as comfortable as it is relaxing and they have thought of everything you might want at the end of an exhausting day on your feet (in the rain!) to help you recharge your batteries.
We arrived early, this was not a problem, Andy sorted out a parking permit & Matt took our bags upstairs. Over a pot of tea Andy talked us through Brighton highlights & what to look out for and gave us some local restaurant recommendations.
We stayed in Room 8 at the top of the house. The room is large & spotless, tub chairs, pedestal table & tasteful "distressed" furniture, plenty of storage with a huge comfortable bed. The en suite bathroom has a large shower cubicle (NOT one of those telephone box sized ones that you always bang your elbows in) with plenty of towels and toiletries. To call the hospitality tray just that, feels churlish! The selection of goodies available meant we had to show great restraint or we'd never have enjoyed our dinner out! Fridge in the cupboard contained complimentary bottles water plus corkscrew, cups/saucers, mugs and wine glasses, no drinking out the toothmug here! If the weather had been better I would have used the iron & board provided to press my frock. As well as the large TV/DVD plus a huge selection of DVDs, there is a DVD, Wi Fi & an i pad (yes)
There is a fridge in the dining room full of juices, beer, wine, water & smoothies, these are all complimentary.
Breakfast is a wonderful lavish affair & will keep you going all day! I hope no one noticed how much we ate: Dorset cereals, a variety of fresh & dried fruits, good fruit juices, croissants, full Sussex cooked breakfast, fantastic meaty sausages & the best vege sausages my husband has ever eaten.
Matt and Andy are lovely guys and go out of there way to make you feel welcome & special, they deserve their position as top hotel in Brighton.
Many thanks, we will be back!

Room Tip: Room 8 is spacious & on top floor, sea view to the right, need to be able to manage stairs .

We stayed here as our first choice (Hotel Du Vin) was full but this was so much better. Warm welcome, fantastic breakfasts, close to all main attractions, beautifully decorated and clean rooms - basically nothing to contradict what others have said already. There was also a digital radio, iPod doc and iPad in the room and DVD player with DVDs to borrow. I guess it is a touch expensive for a B&B but worth the money in my opinion.

Thank you to Matt & Andy, welcoming, warm generous hosts. Having stayed in many Brighton Hotels over the years, we have finally found a gem, all the accolades received at this B&B are thoroughly deserved. Breakfast was amazing!! We will be back for sure. Lynne & Matt, Maidstone.

We stayed for one night here. The guys are so friendly, carried the bags, sorted a residential parking permit and helped out with an early breakfast as we were on an early ferry from Newhaven. A comfy bed and room. Breakfast was top quality with local ingredients.

On arrival we were given coffee and also available was wine, soft drinks and snacks

Great stay, great hosts, we'll stay for longer next time!
